Just to let you know that Alacrity, MMV and I lost power Saturday night, along with 250,000 of our closest neighbours. We're holed up in a hotel room until we have heat and power again, and since it is four of us in one room, writing lengthy posts are impossible .

Send a wish via your cleric of choice that we are home again before Christmas Eve - we have cooking and wrapping to do!

I lost power Friday night and just got it back this morning.

We were in the 60's this weekend, so when all the weather hit it did drop temperatures but we just got rain, lots and lots of rain...

Have a wonderful Christmas, hopefully in your own domicile (but a hotel isn't the end of the world either, we did that one year my mom put Christmas lights in her carry on (back in the day when you could) and decorated a plant in the hotel to give us the feeling of the season )!

Got home to wrap gifts and make a dish for my Mom's Christmas Eve celebration and we just finished wrapping for tomorrow. Grateful to the Hydro folks who worked round the clock to get most of us powered up again
