Firestorm

My heart has been set ablaze
Pumping flames through my veins
Smoke is hidden deep within
I’m on fire from the inside out.
I’m cool and collected on the outside,
Graceful and smiling at the world around me
Yet inside I’m screaming from the heat
It’s burning deep into my soul.
Making a mark that will never fade.
The pain subsides suddenly,
I wonder if it will return
It never does, I’ve adapted
To the fire within my soul,
Burning so intensely
It has opened my eyes to a new world.
Full of passion and love that will never die.
