So I've been thinking. I'm not sure how many people on here are aware of Robert Jordan's Wheel of Time series, but it is my personal all time favorite fantasy series. I've recently discovered that there is a roleplaying game set in that world. 

I think it could be a lot of fun to play a game of that sort and am thinking of perhaps starting one if there is any interest!

What a great concept! Maybe reach out to some of the more prolific writers specifically and see if they are interested? Often times the recruiting threads get buried in the "Latest Updated Forum Topics" section and are missed.

Been a looooooooong time since I read WoT but, yeah, definitely an interesting concept and would be a fun setting to play in, I think.

Anyone would be welcome, knowledge of the series and the world isn't required. Although, for those that haven't ever read it, I would strongly recommend giving it a go!

From what I understand, the rules are based off of 3rd edition DnD, so it shouldn't be too hard to play either.

I'll send a couple of invites to see if anyone else is interested. I was thinking 3 to 6 players or so if there was enough interest. Maybe more if there was enough. 

I hope this works out, I think it would be a lot of fun!

Alright, this thread didn't get a lot of attention, but that's fine. I believe we have 4 players, possibly 5. I'll know for sure by the end of the week.

As a note - I never saw the recruitment thread.  As Bromern's comment above said might happen, it must have gotten swept off the last updated list before I saw it.  But the personal invite did the trick.  I enjoyed the series as far as I got before the books weren't publsihed yet, so I'm in.

Never read the books but if it includes stuff like dragons, elves, mages and stuff then I'll try it.

I have only ever played one session of D&D (in real life, not online) and I'm completely new to this site, though (just joined today)...

Well, it isn't exactly fantasy in the classical sense. If you check out the Q&A page for the game I've posted something detailing the world. On the same page you can find the rulebook and the different classes and nationalities you can play! Take a look there and let me know what type of character you want to play, I'll make the character and send you a copy of the character sheet and you can jump right in!
