A note

My character has never played hockey before, but he has taken dates there (though the games weren't watched all that much...) and he has skated before. After all, women love a romantic skate to get them in the mood. And skating in the cold tends to raise the need to... warm up a bit.

So he's not completely helpless on the ice, but definitely not a hockey player.

Actions and such

Vitali is going to give his all to defend the net. Since the only piece of equipment he has is his glove, he'll go for the high-low strategy. Glove for anything high, and stick for anything low. Even if it means trying to deflect the puck with a closed glove, as long as it doesn't go in. If there's anybody nearby, he'll try to cover the puck, or at least hang onto it. If the opportunity is there, he'll try to pass to a defenseman.

If he's being crowded, he'll go for the back of the legs with his goalie stick, or similar actions to cause some hurt. If a Wildfire player goes down in the crease, he'll try to step on their limbs (Finding the severed hand in his glove, he'll assume such actions are not being called)

Awesome points will be used to try to glove the most unrealistically powerful or tricky shots taken on him, although I'll limit this to one a period.

Oops!

Sorry for the lag, folks... been a helluva few days!

Welcome, Tek... good to have you aboard, I'm sure.

Catching up, now, and posting shortly thereafter.

Well, I'd like to update tomorrow, but this is a situation where I really need the input of everyone to move forward, so at this point we're going to be waiting for those last posts to trickle in. No pressure, not judging, god knows I've missed enough deadlines myself.

slacker... right here

Hey Guys,

Just got home, and I'm dead... well... almost.

In any case, I'm going to have to postpone posting once more until tomorrow evening (my evening, mind you, not US Central Time). So, hopefully that will be in time. I hate being late, and I'm not usually one to wait so long, but life is hectic at the moment.

Also, welcome Tek! Good to have another skater in our midst.

my goal

Virago doesn't actually know how to play Hockey, and has only watched a few games (while under the influence) so he's pretty much going to be playing a very basic zone defense. He's an excellent skater but lacks any knowledge of rules or regulations besides "put the puck in the goal" and "You can hit the other guy to stop him."

I kind of want to just award awesome points to Downhouser every time you post a line that makes me laugh my ass off.

"That would teach him." was simply brilliant.

Go to Ohio. Find Eol. Chain him to a computer.

In a loving way.
