Just so you know, it was only one round - you were only able to cover 3 meters walking, so your shot was from about 15 meters away, far more than point blank.

Tann considers anything under 50m point blank. He's intense.

As for point blank range for an assault rifle 15 meters is not that far off and I did say a little over it.
Last thing in my post I said I fired one shot but is the Autogun capable of burst fire?? does it have full auto capability?? let me know now as that could change some things in my mind.

Yes, it has burst and auto, but you can only perform a single shot after you move. Judging by your post I assumed you wanted to get as close as possible, which left only room for a single shot.

As for point blank, in this game it's considered 3 meters. Your gun has a 90 meter range, and you do get a bonus at half range, which you were in. Like I said, you rolled so badly your gun almost jammed. You also called a shot to his leg, which imposed a penalty.

If you had been point blank, you would have hit.

Actually you did really miss. He was only knocked out by the mutant and didn't take any real damage, so he would have survived if you had hit him.

Would have made for some fun dialogue though!
