wow
Episode 5 was pretty heavy. Holy crap, Rick!
Michonne became slightly more interesting. Slightly. Of course, she also appeared to be even more of a munchkin combat monster, too.

Yup...
...and if you got 'holy crap, Rick' out of this episode, just wait until you find out who's on the other end of that phone!
Unhinged, I tell ya!
I'm still trying to mesh the graphic novel versions of Woodbury (and its populace) and Michonne with the TV versions, myself... quite some bit of deviation between the two, in both cases, really... I think they may really need to delve into the Michonne characters backstory before too much longer or too many people are going to be feeling the 'combat munchkin' vibe from her and, unfortunately, that could totally ruin the character. Keeping fingers crossed.
And, Olan... if you haven't watched the World War Z trailer, yet... DO IT!!!

OMG can't wait til Feb 10th!!!
First off I see a bit of romance in Carl's future with Beth (Hershel's youngest daughter). If I'm not mistaken I see her kiss Carl in the previews for the next episode.
Also in the sneek preview on Talking Dead, Tyreese sees the man Carl is becoming. The guy that just lost his girlfriend/wife? sees only weakness in a boy and a few women. This guy in denim comes between Carl and the safety of the group, and I believe Carl is badass enough to drop him like a bad habbit.
The looks exchanged between Merle and Daryl are priceless at the end of the episode. you could really see the wheels turning in both of their heads. Can't wait to see how that situation pans out. My wife foresees one of those gladitorial battles as a test of Merle's loyalty by the Governor.
Did I hear Carl correctly in the previews?
Carl: TO RICK "Maybe you should stop."
Rick: TO CARL: "Stop What?"
Carl: "Being the leader"

Zombie mom
I agree with previous posters that some of the events in this seasons were among the most disturbing that I've seen on TV. I also agree about Andrea being annoying and Michonne being unrealistic.
That being said, I have really enjoyed this part of the season. I don't know if I've ever been that tense during a season finale.
Also, I got my mom to start following the show. Me and my brother were catching up on the season a few weeks ago and after we had finished watching one episode she asked, "Got another one?"
How much geek cred does that give me?

2 year thread revival.
Anyone watch the entire episode today thinking "My god I wish someone would shoot Carl."
Because I did.
It actually was the only thing I thought.
It distracted me to the point where I burnt toast.
Toast, damnit!

If I wanted 40 minutes of a teenager whining I'd...
...I don't know what I'd do.
Most of my first thoughts are apparently very, very illegal.

LOL
The episode was supposed to show Carl coming of age and taking care of Daddy for a change.

Well I wanted to shoot him.
I got lucky and they focused an episode on my two least favourite characters.
I think they killed all the ones I like by this point.
Oh T-Dawg.

Hehehe. . .
Just finished Season Four (on dvd, no cable) last weekend. Terminus is (my theory) populated by CANNIBALS which does tie into the comic book (fairly early on, third or fourth hardback edition). Glad to see this touched on by the tv show, and to see Denise Crosby as the creepy "Welcome Wagon" person!

Boingity-boingity-boingity!
TWD marathon on Netflix in progress as I type this! By the time I get to the end of Season 3 (again) Season 4 should be ready to watch (it hits the 'Flix on 28 September, I believe), then, I'll binge that on a weekend and wait two more weeks for Season 5! I. AM. TOTALLY. SPAZZIN. OUT.

5 more days...
...until those folks at Terminus find out "who they're screwin' with."
Or... you know... until Rick and company pass out from heat exhaustion in that boxcar and wake up manwiches.

you know...
I know he went all crazy town, but it's gets annoying how people refuse to listen to Rick, even when he's 100% correct. You absolutely could not let those people live, yet they did.
Now, we have another freaking Governor situation.
