So folks, I took a couple of liberties. I'm assuming that you were honest (or believable) with the gate guard, and that you didn't try to make the serving wench's life miserable with ordering or the like.

I am assuming that, at some point, you guys intend to obtain one or more rooms for the night. I do not know if you plan to try speaking to the locals about the events of the road (or anything else).

Please let me know how you plan to proceed.
