My time is limited while inventory is being done.

I've starte a post, but if I don't manage a actual one Vaskar is war chanting as per his skald ability, but wait, you don't have my character sheet! I should really snd that to you, will do now. Read it, love it, and he's Giving all allies +10 hp, +1 attack rolls, +1 damage rolls and -1 to Everyone's AC (so a bonus)

Jjust need to find time to finish the actual chant.

Vaskar himself will ready his shield and axe but not actually attack, instead he'll be banging his axe on the shield in a rhythm to accentuate his chanting.

PS, Characte sheet sent.

I was checking Spell references in the link stored on the laptop at home and when I could not even find 2 of Panaw's spells I realized that we are playing 2e and NOT 3.5

Thanks in Advance for Your Help!

About that dispel spell...

I was talking about the stinking cloud.

After i've used the spell, could i make it disappear with dispel?

well

You could use them together, but it would take two turns, and so it would still affect your companions. So if you are willing ot risk that then you could do so.

So back to my original question...

Aren't we all over 6 HD? The spell won't affect anybody over 6 HD. Is anybody sending their animal companions or other things with lower HD in?

If they are, I'll just cast Magic Missile at the... right one.

Actually...

...cloudkill will affect creatures/characters over 6 HD if they don't make their saving throw vs poison.

Per the description in the PHB:

Cloudkill (Evocation)
Range: 10 yds. Components: V, S
Duration: 1 rd./level Casting Time: 5
Area of Effect: 40 x 20 x 20 ft. cloud Saving Throw: None

This spell generates a billowing cloud of ghastly yellowish green vapors that is so toxic as to slay any creature with fewer than 4+1 Hit Dice, cause creatures with 4+1 to 5+1 Hit Dice to roll saving throws vs. poison with -4 penalties or be slain, and creatures with up to 6 Hit Dice (inclusive) to roll unmodified saving throws vs. poison or be slain. Holding one's breath has no effect on the lethality of the spell. Those above 6th level (or 6 Hit Dice) must leave the cloud immediately or suffer 1d10 points of poison damage each round while in the area of effect. The cloudkill moves away from the spellcaster at 10 feet per round, rolling along the surface of the ground. A moderate breeze causes it to alter course (roll for direction), but it does not move back toward its caster. A strong wind breaks it up in four rounds, and a greater wind force prevents the use of the spell. Very thick vegetation will disperse the cloud in two rounds. As the vapors are heavier than air, they sink to the lowest level of the land, even pouring down den or sinkhole openings; thus, the spell is ideal for slaying nests of giant ants, for example. It cannot penetrate liquids, nor can it be cast under water.

Anyhoo... that said, it's still up to Ulfgar whether or not to cast the spell... and yes, Dispel Magic should collapse cloudkill (sorry for the misunderstanding earlier) but, as Flirty said, it'll take two rounds minimum, etc...

Well there are way too many elves...

But.... maybe I'll pass on killing half the crew this time.

Looks like I was reading v3.5. I thought the spells would be similar. It said HD 4-6, Fortitude save, but nothing about higher levels. Anyhoo... Like I said magic missile at the right one(or whichever one I said before) then!

Hell hounds again

FYI - I am posting here because I only have a few minutes. I will be out of town for a few days - please just assume Khalessin will attack the hellhounds and then participate in questioning their benefactor.

As for the fight - color spray seems fairly effective. Khalessin will charge and attack the sleeping critters. If they are sleeping he should be able to closely target a strike on vitals.

Ha.

Wow. Did anybody else see this encounter as totally anti-climactic?

Damn that colour spray spell.

You know, I just love it when the DM just makes a spontaneous rock fall and kill the no-funner *rolls eyes*

haha

well don't worry I had a dream about this game last night, odd as it sounds, but I liked the idea in my dream, so if I can keep remembering it, I will be using it.

Worrying halted...

Glad you posted this, Flirty... I was just about to tack one of my own up asking if we might have fizzled.
