Cooler still if it were cameos with members of the Inn

Check the first page of the thread - I have posted the first piece of concept art there, along with a brief description of the character.

You guys are not the first to suggest the coolness factor of appearances by members of this site in the comic. While I will certainly not rule out a cameo here or there, please note that this comic is based upon a fictional group of people (who may or may not bear resemblences to certain real life individuals). I want the comic to have universal appeal to tabletop gamers - and thus bring traffic to the Inn - so I will almost certainly avoid "inside jokes" and such that would require one to have an intimate knowledge of the Inn and/or the forums to understand.

That's what crowd scenes are for!

What's the fun of a comic if there are no inside jokes? Actually, I can imagine a lot of fun without inside jokes, it was a theoratical question

Actually, that character looks great and I now have high hopes for this comic

I would guess Olan, but I guess I wouldn't really know. I'm just guessing randomly. That, and I'm feeling a bit tired which makes me start rambling on, and on, and on, and on...

I have just discovered that our artist is not a guy, but a girl. D'oh!

She goes by initials instead of a first name, and I made an assumption. Say it with me, now, "when you assume, you make an ass out of you and me."

Yeah, Steve is based on me. All of the characters are at least somewhat based upon real people. These are caricatures of those people, though - they are NOT those actual people.

Oh, and in regards to the crowd scene - I actually have a concept piece with everyone on it. I am cropping them out one by one to post here and lengthen the tease while we prepare a stockpile of strips. You know, a transparent way to keep people interested.

Right now, we have a grand total of two completed strips; this is a bit behind where I thought we'd be at this point.

Yeah, drawing a webcomic ain't as easy as it looks, does it? I should know, I've tried it, but my comic was very simple and crappy so I can only imagine a good one needing a much more work.

I'm not seeing many comments now (actually, none since my last post). Would you guys prefer I not post any more to this thread?

Perhaps people aren't commenting because it's too much like pre-Christmas torture...giving us hints and teasers but no idea when we get to open the present

I'm not certain of the exact release date yet. I want to have a minimum of one month's worth of strips ready before we go live.

Right now, we are behind schedule. The production has been very steady, just a good deal slower than we anticipated. Because of this, we are probably going to go to a twice weekly schedule.

Hopefully, things will get quicker as the artist is able to start reusing pieces and optimizing the process.

I'll know a lot more in two weeks.
