Not really inspired by any one item in particular - just a pretty cool fantasy type quote, and Ray was trying to live up to the possible drama of the moment.

Note that Faustus is "merely" a knight, not a paladin.

"RPG'ers as secret actors"

Shoot, t_catt11, I thought being a part-time thespian was a prerequisite to being a decent role-player. That's one of the major appeals not just to being a player, but more so as a GM, where I get more roles to play. Scenery tastes better than cardboard or vinyl maps. Speaking of which, will our animated Dungeon Master get to wax "Shatner-iffic" in an NPC role soon?
