I'm so sorry!

I actually did not see that!

And now I feel bad. I'm so sorry. Didn't catch that.

Let's hope the other guy understands it. Alvin, make sure to play along with name, so the people reading our thread will laugh.

the scream and the roar

number one if this is a dungeon crawl it would help to have some kind of map.

number two: details, human scream, male or female?

do scream and roar come from the same place or direction? As i understood the description, the roar came from a nether region not on our level, where the scream comes from the other side of a door to our right.

Erm

Sorry, I'll get on making a map for ya.

The scream is completely non-descript, too quiet to be perceived.

And as far as you both know, the roar and scream both come from the same direction, that is, from that right-hand direction. I tell you all you know.

Oh

... and if any of you know anyone who's wanting to get into roleplaying but is either lacking experience and/or not ready to get into a big, long, epic RP, they're most definately welcome here ^^

Map!

MAP!
Current room: A1.

The map will always contain everything that you have seen or can see, except mobile objects: aka, you and enemies.

Nice Map!

Will post soon.

Two players isn't that bad. I guess Muhammad can just lug around the sleeper until he wakes up.

I do wish the guy would wake up soon though. Also, in terms of getting new players, what do you think of PMing our newest members and inviting them to join this game?

They may be new to this whole post by post concept, so some light ropeplay fun like this game would be just the thing for them.

What do you think?

P.S. I've desperately tried to locate a rules page for DragonForum with no luck. I have no idea if messaging new players with invitations would be considered harrasement. Hope not!

qsdf

As for the map, I can only update it at weekends, but that won't be too much of a problem.

Alvin, wake up! *slaps*

May be a fine idea. I shall get in contact with some newbies

EDIT: All 67 rooms so far created have been mapped. Yayz.

I have

updated the system overall, and changed class setup.

Any "elite" classes you can suggest are welcome
Oh, and don't hesitate to minmax your class choices. You have no limit on what to choose.

Go nuts

Edit: oh, and the attributes: it is worth taking a second class to minmax your attributes (Strength, Agility and Mental) which are used for non-combat situations. You will get the best of all of your classes if that's not incentive to become a munchkin, I don't know WHAT is.

So yeah...

Tiamat5774, I am assuming we're going to rush into the direction of the screaming. Anything in particular you want to do? I walk first or something along those lines..?

im a lvl 0 character right? which means i don't know any magic yet.

Also I could use an in depth explanation of my stats and/or the system. i do not understand how this works.

M'k

Gonna work on a post this weekend, don't worry

The system is quite simple: the Attack and Defense stats are used in combat as a 1d A vs 1d D. If attacker hits, deals 1d A damage.

The classes give various bonuses to Attack and Defense, or spells.

Strength, Agility and Mental are in case of puzzles requiring attributes: 1dx vs a set difficulty class.

I'm gonna update the ruleset soon too (I have loads more changes needed to balance the classes).

EDIT: Initiative increases your place in the turn order, and Stealth covers how hard to detect you are, and how much extra damage you deal if you perform a sneak attack.

Tiamat, you DO have one spell. Blinding Flash, look it up in your character sheet.
