New addition

We have added a new piece of security software specifically designed to combat denial of service attacks.  Let's see if it helps.

the struggle continues...

Been an up and down (way too much down) evening, but we have a new firewall in place that is supposed to be better.  We shall see.

Seems to be working...

...pretty well.

Haven't seen the site down since last night.

Hmmmm....

Not sure what's what, here, but it seems PM notifications have stopped working as of some time last night. Not sure if the same is true of notifications for posts (none of those I am subscribed to have updated recently). Could this have something to do with the new firewall and/or securty software, maybe?

Edit: Thread notifications are also on the fritz, it seems.

SonOfEdit: E-mail service restarted. We now return you to your regularly scheduled notifications, already in progress.

We need the virtual equivalent of motion detecting machine guns.

Last night, my new script auto blocked 635 attempts by hackers to use SQL injection attacks against the site.  Sadly, it's not autobanning them properly, looks like a permissions issue.  But I'll get that figured out.

We also stopped two brute force attacks.  Site seems plenty responsive, so this stuff is clearly working.  I haven't had to reboot in more than a day, now.

BRAVO!!!

I think I speak for all of us Innmates when I say Woo to the Hooo!!!

It's definitely been nice to hit the site without seeing that SQL error message.

Awwww, yisssss!

I've had hundreds and hundreds of reports today of hack attempts blocked.  I did some server work, and now, these type of attempts result in an instant firewall level block.  Woooooooot!

A Religion Page to Latest Updated Forum Topics

Hey there! I've been playing around in the religion section, as one does, and noticed that whenever you're in a religion's page and click the "more..." link at the top of the screen to go to the "Latest Updated Forum Topics" page, the screen blinks, but nothing happens.

Good catch!

Looks like it might be a matter of a "bad link," from what I'm seeing. On most pages, the "more..." link points to www.rdinn.net/last_topics.php. However, within various articles (such as those in the Audalis>Religion category) the link points to www.rdinn.net/audalis/371/last_topics.php
