Your Lyran will just think that somewhere on the ship is a female Lyran in heat.

SO there.

Players

You will be getting a Romulan officer leader of team 2 for the Cloaking Device, my sister, and a Marine Gunny that I will be playing.

My Friend, Screen name Oko will possibly be taking a player on the Charon also. She has not decided yet who or what.

hrm

We really still need a CONN/OPS person - i.e. a helmsman. Vorrioch is interested in chief medical, and I'm thinking that Fletcher might play the role of chief science, as well.

but we really could use CONN/OPS.

Actually...

...unless they get stuffed into a torpedo tube, that's where all the Romulans will stay other than when they need to board Charon for installation/maintenance of the cloak, etc. Quarters for the entire Romulan continget will "permanently" be aboard Cerberus (primarily due to space - Charon's a smaller ship w/ a smaller crew... more space on Cerberus = most logical place to house the Romulans. )

Now, that's not to say that the Roms will never board Charon - they most definitely will - just that "home" for them during the mission is going to be aboard Cerberus.

Supposition

IF ships are locked in combat and shields are up and anything happened to a cloaking device on the Charon, there would be no one there to repair it.

OK how to I apply for the MACO

I have the MACO charater pretty well done. as Rhianon is the twin of Brianna MacQueen who is the MACO Commanding NCO on board the Cerberus.

So do I send her to you here, because I could not add her to the MACO department rooster.

Bzzzt! Wrong answer!

Not true... SF Engineering crew are capable of repairing/maintaining cloaks... they've been doing it for sometime abaord the Defiant and have experimented with cloak technology of their own over the "course of history". The thing is that SF never saw a use for cloaks as their use "rubbed the wrong way" against the accepted values and exploratory nature of Starfleet and the UFP... With the onset of the Dominion War, however, SF saw a viable need/practical application for cloak technology and, rather than hack away at their own resources to develop/field their own versions, they 'bartered' with the RSE to borrow the technology...

Genius among geniuses, eh? Hmmmm... someone's gonna be board as heck on a battleship.

AHHH

But this one has turned down promotion because it would mean a more sedentary position at the head of some Science Department, which she does not want to do at this time because of her deep yen for adventure.

With her fields of expertise she could do half the jobs onboard a battleship, including doctoring.

Ahhhhh...

...choo!

Technically, 40% of the crew aboard any SF vessel has the necessary cross training to serve as medical personnel and a greater majority of the crews on any starship in the Federation are cross trained in other fields as well... just because your posted to TAC, for example, doesn't mean that you couldn't handle Ops or Conn or even Counseling for that matter.

Anyway, here's the thing: The Romulan contingent, envisioned as a contingent of no more than 6, were put on board as part of an 'exchange' between SF and the RSE - SF gets use of the cloaks for the mission into the GQ and, as a trade off, the RSE 'technicians' get to 'ride along' and observe (i.e. gather intel, etc, where appropriate). The contingent was conceptualized as being a group of 'technical advisors', and are not necessarily solely responsible for maintenance of the cloaks... Seeing as the RSE (along with the Cardassians) got their behinds handed to them the last time the made a trip into the GQ, I'd imagine that the Romulans (like Starfleet) would be more inclined to send 'expendables' through the wormhole as opposed to their 'best and brightest' - Hell Fleet gave command of one of the starships to a lowly commander with a lengthy record insubordination, violence, and complete disregard for politics and the other is headed up by a scarred, angry, and vengeful Captain with what some might perceive as a death wish...

Basically, the Romulans weren't originally expected to 'do much' other than bring the cloaks and be a burr in SF's butt (and depending on what actually transpires during the mission, either change the SF crews' 'low-opinion' of Romulans for the better or reaffirm the general consensus that they're arrogant, shifty, traitorous bastards who are not to be trusted ever and we don't care what SF or some paper alliance says... (this is the bit that I had inteded to leave up to the 'department head' of the Roms... are you there to help? are you there to sabotage? or are you just there because you were told to ride along and gather whatever intel you could 'just in case' Starfleet's mission succeeds and the Cerberus and Charon, by some chance, actually make it back? Are you funnelling intel back to the RSE and/or the Tal Shiar? Etc? Etc? Etc?)

So, basically, I guess, what I'm saying is, the Romulans really weren't envisioned in having a huge role in day-to-day operations aboard the ships (though, it may come to that on the other side of the wormhole) - they're more of a sub-plot unto themselves, really (can they/should they be trusted? Is the alliance a true collaboration or is it, as many SF personnel believe, simply political posturing and not worth the 'paper it's written on'? Etc...)... I just don't want to see the entire Romulan contingent filled up with PCs who might just find themselves bored to tears because they're way over qualified for a "suicide mission" into no-man's land/enemy territory... additionally, it's not outside the realm of possibility that some characters are gonna get killed before all is said and done... both Fleet and RSE... something to bear in mind.

Romulans on the Charon..

..the torpedo tube would be preferred to what the Lyran Tac/Sec Chief would have in mind for them.

CMO

I posted a partial bio for the Charon's new CMO (played by Vorrioch) into the roster.

Please note that the personal details there are not character knowledge - they are simply provided for your reading enjoyment. For obvious reasons, Hamilton would probably prefer to keep much of it to himself.

Any room?

Room for one more?

I've a few ideas in mind, but I would really be open to anything. OOh, and later on, I would love to take on the role of one of the "detainees." I have to warn you, though, my tastes and style tends to run.... violently dark.
