Vargas was free, and so too must be the other strangers. Like a wolf pack they would need to work towards a common goal... Freedom. Slowly but without heed to the noise made, Vargas goes about bashing down rusted cell doors until everyone is free. The more free, the more able to do combat he figures.

what are you doing?
what are you doing if you knock the cell doors down it will wake the goblins find the key save every then cut there throats.

Vargas continued tearing down the cells heedless of the stranger's warning. Vargas was like a trapped animal, desperate to free and be free.
(while I'm sure Vargas is causing initial stress, it's true to his high physical low mental attributes)

With the arrival of a single bewildered goblin, Vargas halts his door busting and goes for some head cracking instead. He rushes the goblin and attempts to bowl him over where he may proceed to throttle the little bugger.
