A prize

An applaud for the first person to find the combination I put in there to yield an awesome joke name.

...unless Olan noticed it and killed it.

How did Rlog Oathfoot get his name?

Nice one, though some of the fantasy name combinations seem a bit goofy. (Oakdelver, Marbleforger, Swordheart, Oathfoot)

If I remember correctly the 2nd edition Complete Dwarves’ Handbook had a random name generator along the same sort of lines (noun + noun/verb), you might find it a handy resource to dip into if you’re still looking for combinations.

Edit: Oh, and if anyone’s feeling creative I’ll give an applaud to the first person to post a credible backstory for how the first Oathfoot dwarf earned his title.

...

He put his foot in it and cursed an oath.

Tada!

okay...

Agreed @ sill combinations. Some are not great. I might consider adding in some logic to how syllables are combined.

However, my inclination is to work on getting the next generator up and working. My thought is to get another very popular one - the sylvari (elves). I'll eventually cover most Audalis cultures... which will, in turn, cover typical names for most game worlds.

Any thoughts?

First oathfoot

The first Oathfoot dwarf was so named because he swore an oath, tatooed it on the bottom of his foot and vowed to uphold the oath until the oath wore off. All oathfoots since then have done the same.

added

Axeshaft and Redbeard work... and are added.

The other two are already possible, thanks to existing seed names.

Other suggestions feel free to send to me. PM is probably better, but you can put them here, I guess. I'd rather stick to issues/requests/features/discussion in the thread, though.
