Actually

Don't worry - I have been reading your posts here, StGeorge, and I've opted to simply check dexterity to see how fast each character can run relative to one another, rather than calculate distance. The chase, as you'll see in my next post, however, it coming to an end...

yay

Thank you for listening, I do have a nack at complecating things.

I'm glad the chase is at an end but I hope it isn't the end of the line for Kavtan. He wont kill, he resents killing, it's a wast of a life but he will stun without a second thought.

So far I'm rearly enjoying Star Wars, good show Cap'n Lou

...

Awaiting a post from YeOlde and Grugg before we continue...

I can always continue the fight between Anna, Kavtan and the thugs - but I'd prefer it if we were all caught up on posting before we keep going.

ouch

if my character survives this combat what modifications can I make to my blaster. The sort of thing I have in mind is deactivating the lethal setting and increasing the stun settings DC.

I know that it's highly likely that the arcona will only be unconscious for one round but are you, Cap'n Lou, going to say that he needs a round to stand up and pick up his equipment before attacking?

Question of interest

I'm sure the npc isn't this stupid, but did the other person let Ninkanna AoO him for making a ranged attack?

Oh, my mistake... it's not the same in this system

that's what I love about D&D...

Sure, custom modifications to your hold-out blaster are possible; we'll discuss the specifics once your character has some down time. Meanwhile, I'll check and see what the manual has to say, if anything.

In answer to your question, Reralae:

Nope, to quote the manual, "using a ranged weapon that requires two hands to operate can provoke an attack of opportunity if all other criteria are met."

...and by the way, it's your turn to post.

Hehe

Modifications for blasters require a bit more training than I believe a level 1 has.

At least given the fact that there are high level tech class features giving you the ability to modify things.

Now then...

Good work everyone. I'd like to keep everyone going at about the same pace now that that little scuffle is over. Si-Di and Lysander, the ball is in your court.

would love to...

I would love to post.. but I was waiting for Lysander's reply so Si-Di would have some information about what he saw regarding the Arcona's strange behaviour in the Cantina.

However, I just read Grugg's message 'Short Leave' about him being gone until next Friday. So I am not at a loss on how to proceed since I think she needs to have that knowledge before questioning the Arcona.

Oh.. just so you know.. if the Union Security guys come into the cantina and point a weapon at the Arcona she has in her custody.. she will automatically put herself in the way and use her lightsaber to deflect any bolts they might throw his way... I think it suspicious that they killed the guys so quickly.. keeping them silent perhaps.. hint hint guys!

So GM.. how do you think I should proceed now without Lysander's post? Any suggestions?

I agree

and Ninkanna doesn't like it either (about the security guys)

That's kind of why she worded her answer carefully, if you take a good look

Well, later!
