Lai!!!

I loved Lai! Still have his original bio if you need it, Big Al. In fact, I still have most, if not all, of the original Discovery run and it's follow-up, as well.

Addy, just sent Doc White's bio your way per our chat.

They call me CAPTAIN BACKUP!!!!

Also, to Dragonblood and anyone else who might find Trek a bit daunting or overwhelming or whatever - Have no fear, you've got Innmates here! Between us Trek geeks and good RP and imagination the tech stuff is really easy to get a handle on (and sort of 'background flavor' more than anything, anyway). Ya just make 2/3 of it up on the fly... Throw together three words that sound technical - positronic phase modulator, for example - and you're well on your way.

...

Hey Captain Backup, would you mind sending me the original Discoery run? I know I have it somewhere, but you're so convenient...

here we go!

Indeed, as soon as I can manage it you'll have all of that information. Speaking of, should I still send you a more solid outline for confirmation before I start working on the character. And, I will need most definitely need help with all the trek stuff and even with the background. Just to know what the world is like nowadays. Perhaps that would be better dealt with in PM? And thank you to Eol and Meri, those are very kind words and they still my shaking legs!

EDIT: Should I read over Discovery? To get a sense of both the world and the past?

sure thing

I have already accepted your base character concept, Dragonblood, so feel free to PM your particular questions to me. I'll be more than happy to help you flesh out the service record and other more "technical" items.

comin right up

Okay sounds good. I will work this weekend as much as I can. I have a paper due, which will have to take precedence but I will give you preliminary ideas to start and then, with your help, set the boundaries of the world so I can really flesh out my character. I hope that all works, and I'm looking forward to the building process. See you all when I'm fully transformed into the Trek Geek I was meant to be!

EDIT: I have just become a Resident of the Inn. Are my ears turning red?

Which means...

...that Chantelle Hemlos...er...MacTavish has, at this point in Discovery history, either been posted to another ship or is at the University of New Edinburgh on Caldos IV.

yeah

I rather figured that since Chantelle had become a full NPC by the last go round, it was silly to not get a warm body in that spot. Also, it seems liek the timeline fits just about right for her to be off ship now.
