just the start
I wouldn't worry about best posts at this point. Wait until you get some more of the stary and moving on.

Okay - It is official!
This game is officially started. Most of you have posted ahead of time and I thank you for that. The last few should get their intro posts up asap so I can move forward. Remember, you don't have to write a novel, it is just the beginning.
Here's hoping this game lasts to the end and beyond.

a few notes
Players that have played with me before will know that I use a percentage base for healing. In low level campaigns I set a minimum points of healing so that you aren't left dying and getting on 2 points of healing per spell. For this adventure, the minumum for a cure light is 8 points.
Posting actions should be devoid of other players unless you have spoken/pm/emailed or in someway communicated with them. Even the smallest of actions (John steps out of my way as I barrel through the door) should be considered, especially if said person has posted already.
I don't consider order of posting to be order of action, or else the first person to post will be at a disadvantage. Post what you want to do, and how you would do it, and I will post what actually happened. It won't always be the same. If the party wants to split up and everyone posts they are going left, I will will set people off to the right (usually after a round of pm's).
When you are wounded, I will not post the number of hit points lost. I use the following:
Minor Wounds - less than 10% of HP loss
Light Wounds - Between 11 to 25% of HP loss
Serious Wounds - Between 26 to 50% of HP loss
Critical Wounds - Between 51 to 75% of HP loss
Grave Wounds - more than 76% loss

Gaah! I've got an itch.
Post people! post! I want to play! It's not like I'm pushing you to post, but I am. I've got an itch to play this game since the last three games I've joined have died after 1 round of posts. (I hope I'm not killing this one too)

Timeline
I have sent out Pm's to some on this but let me share thoughts and intentions with all.
I do not have a character from Kyle. If I do not recieve one by the end of the day, then I will move on without the bard in the party, and we will see if you meet up with him inside if Kyle wishes to join.
DB said he would be delayed so I will post the townies reactions, the story thus far and then he can always back post if necessary. That being said, I may post late tonight or tomorrow. In order to keep things moving, it will be a massive summing up of what you hear and see, leading to the point of "how do you get in there?"

Ok I just called him
Woke him up too as he is presently on the night shift at where he works.
He is aware of getting a character to you so I would say hopefully he'll have one to you by sometime today if not as you said just move us on and he can then catch up.

ah!
Hey everybody. I sincerely apologize for disappearing here. I have had some friends in town who I won't get to see again until next Christmas so I wanted to catch up with them. Once time freed up I had lost access to my computer for a few days and so didn't have the chance to join in. Now I'm back at school and have a hefty load of work in the first week that I'm trying to juggle along and, on top of that, our house was broken into.
Luckily my computer was not stolen and I will be back here with my introduction post very soon, however this rigamarole may postpone it a day or two. I'm very very sorry to my fellow players and DM for holding all of you and this game up. I think each of us is eager to see this game live long and prosper and I don't mean to kill it in the first turn of posting. I will be back with my post soon soon soon, it was never my intention to keep you guys waiting.

alrighty
As has been previously attested by others regarding their posts, this is not my best work but it'll have to do for now: squeezed in between the rigamarole of real life. Quite the group we've got, I hope we can all get along. Looking forward to it guys!

commentary
The comment by Noctus was made in a whisper and clearly stated as "made so no one heard". Unless someone asks for a hearing check and I say yes, please do not post that you heard it.
Thank you

yes
Yes Crow heard it and he also heard the tone was not "dripping with sarcasm" as posted by another player later but was a "friendly and jestful" tone of one friend ribbing another for a momentary lack of attention.
