New Campaign Started-

Trilian, Lokee, Talen, and Gargash made their way back to a familiar town with familiar folk but before they could even get to the gates, they encountered ogres attempting a raid from a mysterious house that fades in and out of the material plane, seeming to disappear for minutes to hours at a time.

After killing the ogres they investigated the house and became trapped. They discovered a juvenile black dragon (Shaysbeth) and routed her to flee through a portal.

They found another portal and decided that they should go through and hunt the dragon that got away.

A map and book they found are the only clues they have at this time to uncover the mystery of the new land they find themselves in, an island surrounded by a sea of desert.

No sooner do they enter this new land, do they find themselves in danger once more as a nearby volcano begins to erupt behind them. Now they must outrun the fury of Mt. Darkest.

I left this session on a cliff hanger. Kinda as a joke but also to give me some time to prepare encounters and research rules. Also I was needing to take my Metformin and get something to eat because my blood sugar was low. Besides, it was after 11pm. Time flies when you're having fun!

Overall, the session was GREAT! I believe the players really liked the early progression of the story. I mean, they went up against a dragon in the first session. Talk about foreshadowing.

The players will be coming back to the story with leveled up characters next week. As I said in the last update, they were off by 10-50 xp, so they leveled this session.

A hunting we will go, a hunting we will go, hi ho a merry-o a hunting we will go-dragon hunting that is.

UPDATE: This past session has the party in the forest, but Talen is missing Lokee made a poor decision to go off on his own to look for him.

And ran into some hill giants and was aided by some new characters. Finally the calvary showed up and the party routed the big brutes. That was the first time, and Lokee hadn't learned his lesson.
Then, rather than get to know the new people better, he went off to find Talen, AGAIN by himself and put even more distance between him and the party and ran into two beholders, and I mean that almost literally, he RAN into them (charged)! Well, that dude got so ate up (after a Finger of Death eye ray of course). So ends the story of Lokee.

Game resuming tonight. The party is now together and have conversed and got to know each other.

well last game day was kinda weak. only two showed up. So we had an expositional Role Playing session where the two characters Gargash and Akai went gathering information and were taken into custody for not checking in with the community center.

hopefully we will have a better turn out tonight, just in case things get hairy.

Update: The party has made it into Zazbeth's cave "The Great Wyrm's Egg". Faced a few traps so far. Remember 2a for next week.
