buying into
Yes, that is what people are doing. Which I love because you will all have a part of the ship therefore making it your own.
However, remember you do need to have money for ammo, food, drinks, bribes, more ammo, equipment, cooking supplies, more ammo, clothing.

You can....
For example, after Sam went on a spending spree and bought some boomers, clothes, and GRENADES (along with some other nifties), he ended up with around 1000 credits or so just burning a hole in his pocket... He kept an ammo allowance, of course, but what was left he funnelled back into the ship... Should do nicely towards the purchase of some canned food, an extra mule, med supplies, whatever we might need.

You fiend!
I just missed it by a couple of days... *clutches chest* Yer killin' me...
That's fine. I didn't want to play anyway. I'll just sit here and hate you forever. Let me know when a slot opens up, I want on as first alternate.

An Opportunity Lost...
I'm right there with you, Rystefn. I haven't visited the Red Dragon in a while, and when I came back on today, and saw this up, there was a moment of jaw dropping eagerness to see if I could get in on it, only to have my hopes dashed by the closing of recruitment 3 days ago.
Ta Ma Duh, it distressed my calm. Needless to say, I'm all for being 2nd alternate after Rystefn. I'm looking to get involved again, and I'll find something to join, but this was certainly an opportunity lost.
To all those playing, have a great time spanning the verse. Hope to get a chance to play, if a 2nd spot miraculously pops.
Yi Lu Shwen Fohn,
Samus

missed it
I missed it by not regularly checking the recruiting board. The fault lies entirely with me, I assure you.

Briefly for Brom
Think "Young Guns" and you'll have the right idea.
DESCRIPTION: Caucasian. Blonde hair, about shoulder length. Just shy of 6 ft tall. 175-180 lbs. Not super bulky, but muscular. Young guy, early twenties. Bright, blue eyes. Pants with belt (w/ good size eagle belt buckle), button up shirt (plaid or cream), duster (not brown), regular cowboy hat, boots (maybe w/ spurs). Two revolvers at the hips (on in his hands). Shotgun on the back in some type of holster-like thingy. A bandoleer across the chest with bullets and shotgun shells.
Young, cocky, backwater, skirt-chaser who's good with the gun.
Still working on the "Introduction".

Thanks Blamm
Looking good. Sort of Kiefer Sutherland in Young Guns meets Keanu Reeves in Matrix.
Once I get you character, I can start posting some intros.

Ya ain't gon' name 'im Keifer are ya? ;)
Woot! Now we know what the crew looks like for the most part... One question I've got, though (and the answers will kind of play into how Dash addresses and/or reacts to some - if not all - of your characters); what is everyone looking at age-wise? I figure Sam's in his early 30s, for example, and our "Young Gun" Blammm is early/mid 20s... What about the rest of ya?

Early twenties for sure...
22-23 years old for my guy. Keifer Sutherland's character is a good choice.
Something like this pic (maybe a bit younger looking):

ummm...
Can't remember what I told Al for kora but whatever it was it should be 29 or 30. By the way...how long did the war last?
I had Kora being in the military for a ten year term. is that reasonable?
