hey guys!

Looks like some of you want to go on a seperate adventure! I highly encourage it, but I ask that one of you start a new thread here on the creative section. I'd like to keep this one exclusively at the Bleeding Lute, so we can spark new adventures! Can't wait to see where you guys take it!

Hippy-snapper!

Oh

Don't worry. I don't know about the rest of you, but I've got a few pages of info for this adventure

of course

I was about to suggest that when we left the Lute we should start a separate game thread.

As to the game, is someone going to act as a Gm for this adventure? If so, who? and if so, we should probably start the game thread in the No-Rules portion of the board.

The Guiding Light.

That thought crossed my mind and they way I see it is if someone brings a quest in they can lead it. Kinda like a series of small adventures. I would gladly run you through the bandit scenario and Darren could lead the hunt for Assals family sword.

Heh

I have indeed got a full epic-scale adventure ready, if required. If we don't want to go that big, it can be scaled down

The OCD part of me is wanting to ask you, zerowulf, if I can control the Adventures thread. Yes, I'm the kind of person who wants to organise such a thing by named "chapters" and "acts" :p

ahhhhh

Hey, I know I am new here, and maybe this is the way it goes, but I feel a bit slighted in the game thread there.

I post my character addressing several characters that are in the room, and the immediate response is ‘nothing’ other than a smile from Aquascales which I can’t be sure to whom it is directed.

I am looking for a game where people interact, talk, and react to each other; but it seems people are in a hurry to get on the adventure that they can’t take the time to respond to questions, and even make an introduction? She has spoken to Assal and introduced herself, she would expect the same in return.

Maybe it is me, maybe this is how rules-type, GM run games are, but I am more for the talking, interaction which is a two way street, right?

Just wanted to let you guys know how I feel and what I expect out of the game.

Now as to who is GM, I don’t care you two fight over it.

But about that, how much leeway will we have with our characters? I mean is this turning into a rules based game? Who decides my characters actions and results of those actions? Just want an understanding before I jump right in.

Without a doubt

All yours my friend if you would like a new thread for yourself by all means ill disband it.

Also I feel that everyone attempted as much as they could with your previous character that it got lost in the scramble of starting this thing. But rest assure that you will be well welcomed and adored (when you disarm some traps )

Nutjob

Teller, first things first: you being new here isn't an issue

Apologies for the lack of reaction from Assal, but at the moment he was engaged in conversation with Oswald, and *mumbles some poor excuses*. I'll try to get more interaction with our resident midget

If I end up GMing, it'll probably be regulated a little in my style. Basically, when having your character take actions, either leave the result open-ended ("Bob lunges at the goblin" instead of "Bob shanks the goblin") or simply asking whether or not it succeeds or not. I tend to go by rule of common sense ("Does Bob, as a well-trained warrior, have a realistic chance of hitting the goblin? Of course he does") and, if split half and half between two equally possible results, will go by rule of fun (a rickety mine cart getting stuck in the depths of a cavern is more fun than it going round the mine and getting back out again)... and if that fails due to the two possibilities being equally fun... I'll flip a coin.

If anyone doesn't like that, then please speak up.

Nah Zerowulf, let's just leave it as is. I'll trust you with it The only problem with having a single thread for all theoretical adventures based from the Lute is that... well, what if you had TWO concurrent adventures? And what if the adventure turned into a campaign?

That was totally not a hint, by the way.

As a side note, nice foreshadowing there

OK

*Hears mumbled excuses* What? Speak up I can’t here you!

Ok well don’t let it happen again. I hate feeling ignored!

As for the GMing, I think I can live with having the results of my actions determined by someone else, as long as it is fair and makes sense. I understand things won’t always come out the way I want it. That’s life eh?

Ok, so we going to use the other thread once we leave the lute, right? Hopefully soon eh?

Ok now to go deal with someone calling my character, Beamy? Really? HA!

Yup

Yes, yes, yes, and yes.

Oh, and as a side note, "Beamy". Heh. Hehehe.

What time is it?

Well then it seems we are all one big happy family now. Perfect timing for kaminas internet to go out to seeing as his character is slap drunk and passed out

Now if only poor Assal had his long lost sword.

The Dark One

Zero,

I dont think I will be bringing back the Dark Lady into this thread. She has left the Inn, and I am now committed to play Moonbeam here in the upcoming adventure and also I am going to be playing in another game soon so I dont want to spread myself too thin.

Now if we can get people posting in this game and get the show/party on the road.

Come on where is everyone?

Soon

I imagine one more round of posts from everyone, then maybe posting off to bed at least for my character.

Then in the morning, posting in the new game thread our departure on the quest. What you all think?
