For the record - it's not the teams leader's fault that anyone got killed. You guys died, more than anything else, because you didn't post during a combat situation. No post = stand around with a dumb look on your face = easy target.

The team leader allowed the red button to be pushed. There wasn't really a choice... pushing yellow would have been treason. Too bad for you guys that somebody forgot to include a shutoff for the laser cannon, or to place a button that could open the door for Red security clearance.

Translation: if you still haven't figured it out, despite all of my warnings, the deck is stacked against you guys. Troubleshooters die with regularity. It's not a question of "if", but of "when" and "how amusing it will be".

Cautious plans will get you killed even quicker as you bore the GM.

Except you have a timer going for your turn. Last I checked, another Officer did a fine job shouting 'everyone run!' in the Team Leader's stead (who was out cold/stunned so couldn't do anything to begin with at that point)

No command to move by player = character doesn't move = easy target = easy death.

This is a turn based RPG, but if you do not post by the time I post again, I assume that you do nothing - or something dumb, whichever I prefer.

Artie is actually already up; was helped up by other team members, and was able to run out of the door. It was a stun, so there are no apparent lasting ill effects.

I can't help but think that, if Artie (under my playing of course) had his way, reports would be in flagged binary, the language of efficiency.

From the sound of your post though, you already have a good understanding of the setting, and that's always a good thing

To clarify, just in case it's needed, Artie's notion is splitting up the group, so that if you connected the dots of each person's position, you'd end up with an X, with Artie and Blowz at the centre, and the others investigating different offshoot passages.

I've been following this since I joined so I have just about as much of an idea of what's been going on as you guys do. XD
