ah, yes

I'll get a spell list to you shortly, Tuned_Out.

Do note that I do not require you to prepare specific spells. If you pray for spells every day, you may cast any spell that you have access to, provided you have the materials for it.

Assume you have enough typical components to cast any of your spells ten times. If you have a spell that requires truly expensive components (such as augury), check with me before trying to cast it.

Pssst... Hey, Vanadia...

...I found a wee bit of En'Aranthea's history posted on the first page of "The Guiding Light Q&A" if that helps any at all.

Having browser issues - here's what I got

En'Aranthea Elermiel

The only child of Leasidhede Elermiel, noted advisor and kin to the Speaker of the Stars, and Lona Isiliraieth, high priestess of Lissentoria, En'Aranthea was destined for great things. An exquisite
beauty with white-gold hair and sapphire eyes, she could debate difficult points of Sylvari law with her father at a young age, and rhyme off every plant in her mother's garden, but ultimately, her own path lay elsewhere.

She was barely twenty years when a bladesinger, travelling on the Speaker's business, stopped for the night. He'd repaid the hospitality by performing the Eighty Nine Steps in the Great Hall, his graceful movements nearly bringing the young maid to tears. She approached the bladesinger the next morning, as he practiced in the morning light, and asked to be allowed to try some of the Steps, only to be told (kindly enough, for she was a youngster) it would take years of study and discipline before she would be able to even attempt the first step. Still determined, she'd marched off only to return with a stick the length of a sword, and, as the bladesinger moved through the Steps slowly, then increasingly quickly, the young maiden watched closely, humming to herself. As soon as the bladesinger stopped, she bowed to him, then proceeded to perform the first three Steps. They were clumsy and she wrenched her knee badly landing the third Step, but none could deny that she'd just done what was supposed to be impossible untrained.

En'Aranthea was the youngest ever accepted at Megilinder Nost, and the youngest still to complete her training at a scant 45 years of age. The elders wanted to hold her back, but in the end, knew that the only remaining learning would be in the field, and so she was sent out into the world. Her early missions were difficult and strange for the sheltered young noblewoman, but her natural leadership began to emerge with her confidence as her facility with the common tongue grew.

Like all bladesingers, En'Aranthea carries only one weapon, her beloved katana, with only a belt knife for mundane tasks. She wears mottled brown and green leather armour, cunningly worked to look like bark with bramble vines. The "bark" is that of the oak tree, in honour of her father's counsel, and the leather straps wound through her warrior's braids mimic the climbing roses of her mother's faith, though these roses bear thorns as additional defense.

Hey Brundel

Some Clarifications from reading your post:

“I dislike the look of this very much. Folk in their apparent state would have cozied themselves away somewhere in Crandel given this weather, don’t you think?” Stated Galardil. Blair was alarmed once more and his hands went back to his weapons, whenever the usually jovial Khord had a serious tone often trouble loomed.
1. Galardil did not say this: it was the Sylvari Mage Jarenion played by Eol.

2. Galardil is a Half Syl, not a Khord.

3. Galardil does wield a Khord War Club (gifted by a Khord Cleric of Kith-jora) but he is a Half Syl character.

So I am just a moron who missed an obvious joke. Thanks for pointing it out to me!

Now, if you'll excuse me, I need to go double the hit die of the monsters for this adventure. Because shut up!

I kid.

To clarify

Rae has her shield raised, not her sword - her sword is currently pointed downward in a relaxed but ready grip. Her advance was only to slightly move in front of the group, not to attack.

My apologies if that changes reactions or posts, I might not have provided enough insight on her posture.

magic...

Jarenion will have probably warned the party of what his spell uncovered, so you will certainly not be surprised (at least not in game mechanics terms).

However, the spell does not have enough range to have prevented this encounter, either, so I feel comfortable in posting what I have.
