When she left he turned toward his sword. It sat gently against the bed. He picked it up and ran it through his hands. Talk about craftsmanship.

The golden handle was in the shape of two dragons, encrusted with various tiny gems, twining gracefully around each other. Their tails formed the pommel, and in between them sat a masterfully crafted, near transparent ruby inlaid with a miniscule crest of the element of Fire. The twin dragons wrapped around each other until they reached the top of the handle, where their heads split apart and curled backward until they finally faced back inward toward each other. Their eyes were miniscule emeralds, which gleamed playfully in the light of the sun.
The blade was forged of the finest metal, pure and clear steel that cast the sun outward so intensely, it was almost blinding to look at. A thick and brilliant line of silver ran from the armguard to the center of the blade, and it slowly tapered to a rounded point at the end. Adrian placed his finger on the sharp edge of the blade. A neat and clean cut sliced open his skin and stained the sword with his blood. He had applied no pressure and he had not even moved his hand. The blade did not come all of the way to the tip. Where the stabbing point of a sword should be, was instead the most dazzling feature of the weapon. The tip of the sword was formed of a rich vibrant ruby. The semi-transparent gem was the largest gem Adrian had ever laid eyes on. He placed his finger on its edge, and found it to be just as sharp as the rest of the sword.
In utter awe he ran his hand along the flat of the blade, almost shuddering at the grace of his unconventional power source.

Poison walked slowly, taking in the sights of the garden. Her father had been the one to first bring her here, and then he had left her. She didn't mind, but back then she hadn't known what she had been missing. A companion, someone to break her out of this loneliness. She smiled at the thorny bushes surrounding her house, suddenly realizing how so many humans could crave companionship.

He looked out the window longingly. She was taking her time. He looked down the facade of the mansion and noticed some Popey's growing along the edge of the house.

He smiled, Earth was making his stay here tolerable.

He twisted around again. He'd put on his armor. The chair in the corner look comfortable, so he slouched down into it, summoning a tiny little flame and playing with it in his hands.

Poison walked into Adrian's room a moment later. "I'm back." She purred.

The flame in his hand grew a little bigger until it started dancing. He dropped it, and it floated there like a burning candle in the air, flickering playfully.

"What now?" he asked.

Posion blinked. "What do you want to do?"

"Whatever you want...hungry? Thirsty? Active?"

Whatever she wanted, he'd get her. Through hell and back, he'd find it, bring it to her, and make her happy. He needed to make her happy.

She shook her head. "I'm okay, you?"

"I can hold out." he sat down and tassled his hair with his left hand. It was white again, as he'd noticed earlier. He didn't mind. It added character to him, made him a bit scarier looking...tougher.

Posion grinned and touched it. "Your hair looks like snow."

"Yours looks...black..."

He couldn't come up with a good smilie for that.

"Besides...I hate my hair...it's so creepy. And my eyes...and my scars..."

"I think you're gorgeous." She kissed his cheek.

"You're better..."

He grabbed her face with both hands and kissed her softly, lingering on her lips for several seconds before breaking away longingly.

Poison smiled warmly at him. "I love you so much Adrian."

He had no response. He only looked at her and pressed his face into her shoulder, losing himself in the soft fabric of her shirt and the sweet scent of apples and peaches misting her body.
