Well, it was 3:30 p.m. when the party received their orders from the king and the party has been travelling for a few hours now, so let's say it's 6:30 p.m. so the sun is setting. That could help Azax.

Well mission does take priority but he is able to do other stuff, just votes against it. If the others vote for it he'll join in unless he has a reason not to (which currently he does not have).

And if the king has no missions he's probably just either walk off to find someone who has use for him or follow the group in hopes they'd lead him to such person (or even become such people), while also hoping to find out why he even woke up. The time after he spent in a dormant state after the war was because the people who made him told him to so it wasn't like "no one has a purpose for me so guess I'll just sleep".

Also as I stated in Blacktooth Q&A, I'll be off sun-tue in case someone would wonder.

@Nomad, I'm still a bit rusty on the burst ability. I assumed that if there was an obstruction between the enemy and the burst sparks, the enemy wouldn't be hit because the obstruction (such as the caravan) would protect them. Is this right? If not, tell me and I'll edit my post accordingly.

@Alverstar: How much hp does Möhmal's hellhound have?

The ability doesn't clarify, but as it is force damage it would make sense to me that someone who has cover wouldn't be affected.  Or would be less effective.  

I was thinking of making the burst ability be affected by obstructions. Like if the object in the way is thin, such as thin wooden beams, the enemy would still be hurt, but not as much (like you said). Thicker, stronger things like stone walls. metal etc would block it entirely. Thought that would make logical sense.

So shall I edit my DM post so the orc behind the caravan takes 1hp damage?

Whatever you think works.  Partial cover would make sense.
