An Idea!

May be there and I'm just blind for those sorts of things, but I thing it would be helpful to be able to write a new message straight from the Message Box. I.e. I go to the inbox and there I can click a "write new message" or something like that instead of actually looking up the guy I want to send a message to, click his name and then click the part where I want to send him a message. It would just be simpler the other way I think.

And don't be insulted if I don't give you a prize Olan. I would give you a +6 Pepsi-Bottle of Emptiness if I knew where to send it

Another idea

Perhaps not the best time for bringing up suggestions since Olan's taking a well deserved vacation, but it would be really handy to have a dice roller that could count successes like in the White Wolf system.

If we think about this outside the box a bit, basically it would need to be able to set the number of sides of the dice, number of how many dice to roll and a target number. So say we are playing WoD and have 7 dice to roll, we would have to set the number of sides (10), number of dice (7) and a target number ( 8 ).
It would also be very cool to have the option of counting 10s twice or roll them again, although that would take way too much work to actually ask for it.

So, yeah. If you find yourself extremely bored during your week off, Olan, you could always look into this one

The Modern/Postmodern section of the Free-Form area has 21 posts but...0 threads. Oddity.

Nope that's me again

Sorry Grugg the oddity has an explanation .

The Game those 21 posts belonged to was last posted to in I believe Feb of last year so I deleted it.
Though the game thread is gone the post count for that 'section' remains as do the post counts for any game thread deleted from any 'section' as the posts no matter what the game add up to that 'sections' total.

This also applies to the non-game area's of the forums.

i dont know if this is where i put this or not

I have been having a problem with my email I am not getting mail. Brom keeps sending to me but I am not getting my mail for some reason I still get pm notifications though just no emails from people it seems. He has tried to send me email twice and I haven't gotten it. So if this is something that is something that can be dealt with thanks. If not just wanted to let people know in case they have same problem. Other then that got no other problems or issues or suggestions at moment. Maybe in future I will get my mail if not I will just change emails on my profile.

Ok

To clarify your not getting any emails from Brom, but are you getting emails from other people??
I see your email is one from the Inn so lets try this I will send you an email and let me know if you get it in a day or so.
If not then it could be something to do with the Inn email and then its an Olan thingi to solve

Ok Next possiblility

You may have somehow marked emails from him as trash and when he sends you a Email it may go to your bulk mail instead of your in box.
Do you check your bulk mail or trash folder at all before you empty them??

link

This is a link to where I have the Wizards Of The Cost Character Creator saved. Its 3ed edition and it has taken me 2 years of searching to find and I think it should have a link or down-load option some where on the site.

"Dead" memberships?

Some time ago I posted a request for a dataset or dataset(s) for CMP's D&D e-Tools. I got a response from one Voronaxe and we commuunicated exactly twice before he seemed to drop off the face of the earth.

It seems he may have abandoned his membership here as he abandoned his Yahoo! e-mail address he provided. Yahoo! says he has not accessed his account in over a month ...

It kinda makes me wonder how many create free e-mail addresses to get a membership here and then abandon both on a whim or because they don't like the site. It would leave a bunch of inactive "limbo" memberships, because there is no option to cancel or remove a memnbership once created ...

not sure if anyone's suggested these, but...

on a lot of other forums, they have a quote button under every post. for those of you who don't know, what this does is creates a response to the thread in question with the post you wish to "quote" in a neat little box at the top. It's useful if you want to reply to a specific thing someone said, maybe four or five posts back. So implementing that would get a definite thumbs up from me.
Also, when choosing/editing your avatar, is there a way yet to preview the pic before you choose it? I'm all for taking the guesswork out of avataring. Just some suggestions...
