squashed one...

Just killed a bug that allowed a topic to be posted with an idled out user id. Now, it remembers your id for the post itself, THEN idles you if need be.

Suggestion

So, how about adding thhis thing: "You are here: Forum Home --> General Forum --> Common Room --> RDINN Feature Updates/ Suggestions/ Bugs
Jump to: 1 2 3 4 5 [Next] [Last Page] " to the bottom of the page as well. Sometimes the page is pretty large, and it would be convenient not to have to scroll al the way back up to the top to navigate around.

Link

Page links are available already.

The tree is only at the top of the page, but it might get too cluttered with that at the bottom too. Just use the "home" key or "page up" on your key board to return to the top of the page.

A 'jump to last post' link would be cool.

What would be even cooler is a 'jump to a post you've not seen before' link if that makes any sense...

nav bar

I'm just saying that as I go about the forums, browsing through the threads, when I read one, I end at the the bottom of the page, not the top... Seems like that would be the logical place to put the links that let me navigate around. I dunno, maybe I'm doing it backwards.

suggestion

A Preview Post option would be nice.

The other day posting to Discovery I got my code all wrong and it took me about 10 times to edit it right...

Not working in Firefox?

I just noticed that there is a message at the bottom of each page that says "You must enable cookies and javascript to use all features of this site."

I have both those enabled, and have had since my first visit after the crash, but the smileys are still unusable for me. Is it because I'm on Firefox (the pre-crash chatroom did not like that browser), or is there some other reason?

smileys?

Smileys work fine for me on Firefox. OF course, I seldom use the "click to place a smiley" option - I've used the codes so many times, I know them by heart.

Chec oyur javascript settings again to be absolutely sure. If not.. well, you can hold your mouse over the smileys to see their codes, and put them in manually...

Smiley test

Ah, okay. Here we go then: Smiley test!

Clicking on a smiley has the same effect as hitting Ctrl-Home on the keyboard-it takes me to the top of the page.

I've double-checked my Script settings, and NoScript is set to allow everything on the site, however, as it turns out Adblock mistook all the smileys for popup ads and blocked them. So I whitelisted the entire site in AdBlock, naturally, but the smileys still don't work. When I hover the mouse cursor above a smiley no code shows up that I can put in manually either, though I tried several times after restarting the browser.

Should I assume that Firefox with NoScript and AdBlock installed will kill the smileys? That makes me sad. :-(

"Rainy Night In Georgia"

O great webmaster, please add the font Georgia to the chat interface! It would greatly enhance the entire chat experience... at least for a typography nerd like me!

Feature suggestion!

Would it be possible to increase the number of character allowed per post in the chat? I didn't even make it half way through the second sentence of an opening description of my character...

Atlas,
the verbose
