Subject: Looking to stay back...

When Willow finally arrived in the cargo hold, Ash took up his normal position, beside and a step behind her, giving her a complementary whistle.

“Lookin’ mighty pretty, Miss Willow,” said the Lad, as he adjusted the athletic bag’s strap across his chest. “Yer sure t’ make heads turn at the party.” He smiled. He was excited about the party. Dance with some pretty local girls… maybe even with Miss Willow.

As the cargo bay doors open, Asher was stunned by the sight and sound before him. Wow! All this party for some ice? I love these people!

It was about then that the brass band petered out, and the people, obviously disappointed at what they saw, dispersed.

“Hey! Hey!” Ash said to the people. “Don’t go! We just got here! We’re nice folks! Promise! I’ll put the guns away! See! We can still party together!”

Turning to the others, “We’re nice folks, right? Cap’n, go on and tell ‘em were nice folks who just like to party.”

But the people left. Ash watched as a couple of men went so far as to haul off the podium and speaker. The lad sighed. Sad…

An older gentleman comes up to them, “I’m Bailey. Bailey Sackett.” He says offering his hand to shake. He introduces himself to each of you, making sure he gets your name right. He looks around and says loudly, “You must be the people with the CONTAINERS. Them CONTAINERS that belong to the mining guild, wouldn’t that be correct?”

“Good day to you, Bailey Sackett,” piped up Miss Willow. “I’m Willow Takahara and yes, we have a delivery for you. This is Captain Sung, I’ll let him introduce the crew as is proper.” Wow, she was good…

Wyatt gave a nod and scanned their surroundings once more, “Yup, Sackett. We’re the crew with the shipment. Now, if’n you don’t mind showing us where we’re supposed to unload this cargo and get paid, I’d be right obliged.”

As introduction went around, Ash gave the man a simple nod and tipped his hat, “Ash, sir.”

The others continued their conversation, while Ash kept his eyes and ears on their surroundings. In the distance, he could hear gunshots and laughter coming from the town. Reminded him a bit of Ezra.

And that didn’t make the lad feel good.

It was Bailey’s closing words of warning that sealed it for him. “This here is a lawless place. We gots no sheriff or lawman around here so it is best you keep to your irons, and an eye on your women, catch my meaning?”

When the man had left, and as the Cap’n made decisions on what to do while they waited, Ash piped up with a question, “If it’s okay, Cap’n, wouldja mind much if I stayed behind here with the Roc? I don’t like much in the way of how Bailey described this piece of dirt. Reminds me too much of home.”

The lad paused for a moment. “I’d like to stay back and keep Ma company, if you don’t mind. I know she can handle Bessy and all, but I’d just feel better if one of us stayed back here with her, you know.”

“Besides…” Ash said with a smirk. “I got to grapple a bit last time we hit atmo. And I’d hate to have Dash all hating me when the school marm passed him over for someone with a bigger gun.”

OOC: I'm going to be away on business starting next Wednesday until the 20th. But that's not why I have Ash requesting to stay with the ship... my gut sense when I read Al's post was that Ash would be concerned for Trish. Regardless, this could work out real well.

Subject: Getting all gussied up...

The comm. went silent in the engine room for a moment. Ash waited anxiously for the orders he loved to hear Cap'n's got it all under control, Kid. Just give the man a moment...

Sure enough, the captain's voice came over again: "We'll continue on in. Ash, get strapped."

Asher clicked back his response, his "go-get-em" attitude shinin' though clearly. "Gotcha, Cap'n."

Sung continued: "Willow, get all gussied up 'cause you're the ace up our sleeve at the moment. Yer gonna hafts have yer game face on, Sweetheart, or we'll like be eating jailhouse grub tonight. Once were earthbound everyone but Trish'll make landfall like were accompanying Willow as bodyguards. Let's hope that there's no registered companions portside or we're humped."

"Public relations" was Ash's favorite part of his job. He was born to it. The lad quickly did a final run over of the ship's diagnostics, makin' sure everything was in order for their landing, before nearly sprintin' off to his room.

Once he'd dropped down the ladder, Ash made his way to the gun lockers which lined his one wall. Unlocking and opening all three to get a good look at his options, the Kid was like a lady gettin' ready for a party trying to figure out what to wear and what to accessorize. Let's see, he thought with a smile.

The Peacekeepers on hips, with an extra mag for each... Grizzly over the shoulder for a little extra "we mean business"... one Heckler in the bag, with two mags just in case... and... OH! Ash paused for a moment by his collection of grenades. Yes, yes! Two of these lovely smoke ones ought to do the trick.

And just like that, the Kid was ready to meet the public. He moved quickly to the cargo hold.

OOC: Okay! Just so we're clear... when Ash meets y'all in the hold, he'll be wearing two Peacekeeper pistols on his hips, a Grizzly assault rifle over his shoulder, a combat knife strapped to his belt, and he'll be carrying his athletic bag. I am assuming that we've been together long enough that you all know that Ash does not use the athletic bag for gym clothes. The bag contained the Heckler submachine gun (with two magazines) and the two smoke grenades. Ash has also "dressed up" and is wearing his "Sunday-best" for the occasion.

Rocinante Engine Room

Regina.

Since leaving Lullabelle, Asher had spent most of his waking hours preparing, and even some of his sleeping hours dreaming, for this day… for this moment.

The past few days had been busy, what with Asher checking over every major system, trying to keep the same pace of his predecessor. He had walked through the motions of silent runnin’ with Dash more times than he could count.

And now the moment was upon them. Asher had even put on a pair of old coveralls today that he’d found at the bottom of his closet. They weren’t a bit shiny, and he had got some glances at the breakfast table, but they reminded him of Kora and that was what he was going for.

As they approached Regina, Asher couldn’t help but feel a little lonely in the engine room. The space was big by any means, and Kora and the Kid were constantly trying to edge ‘round each other when they had worked together…

Gotta stay focused, kid… Asher could almost hear the mech say. Never know when the big boys upstairs gonna want some juice, and you gotta be ready.

Asher smiled. He was nervous, for sure, but he felt ready.

Dash’s voice crackled through the comm, “A’ight, mei…dammit.”

The comm went silent for a moment. Here it comes, kid… get it right or Dash will be riding ya fer the next month.

Dash’s voices came through again, “Hey, Kid! Gonna need s’more juice inna mains… just a nudge, boy… don’ go burnin’ us out.”

Asher clicked the comm unit, “Nothin’ to it, Dash!”

Moving to the main engine power panel, the Kid moved the lever a single clip at a time, watching the gauges as he did. In the foreground of his mind ran the audio clip of Kora counting, One, two, three, advance… one, two, three, advance… one, two, three, advance… move it any faster and we’ll light up the Purple Bellies’ sensors brighter than a nova. That, and Dash will rip yer head clean off…

Her voice moved to the background as Ash was rewarded with a slight jolt and a faster spin on the drive. Dash came back briefly over the comm, ““Way how, Kid…here comes the fun mi tian gohn.”

Asher smiled again. All shiny.

OOC: QUICK REPLY TO THE CAPTAIN

Asher piped up at the Captain request for opinions:

"Hey, I say let's take them up on their offer. They sounds like good folk! Probably some good food down there too, what with a party goin' on.

"Miss Willow be good with words and all. Not that you ain't, Cap'n, but she's just real pretty too. I'm sure the locals would love to hear her talk. Maybe even sing them a song, Miss Willow. I'm sure they'd like that.

"And I'm sure the real folks they're lookin' to celebrate will be along shortly and then we'll just join in on the festivities... All shiny like!"

Options A or B sound best out of the bunch as the rely on what Sam is good at, yes?

And while Option A looks easier, I think I like option B better. The thought of just floating through space... not a very good thought.

Also... let us remember well that we are currently without a mechanic. Ash can do some minor repairs, but nothing like Kora could.

So... my vote is for "shadow the other firefly" with the additional words of "Go, Sam, go!"

Hey Al,

I'm just checking in on the status of this game. In no way am I trying to be pushy here -- if you got RL issues, hey, you got to deal with them. I get the sense that you are not the only person in this game working through RL issues at the moment. I haven't seen Eol or Lysk for a while. I also just dropped out of the some games due to RL.

My plan is to continue on with this game. I'm curious as to how long you expect (if you can predict such things)we will be in this holding pattern. I've got about 3-4 weeks before my long hiatus begins (July 1).

Hoping the RL issues you (and Van?) are facing have resolved or are becoming resolved. Or, if not, that you are able to find peace in the midst of it. (That hope extends to my fellow gamers as well)

Cheers!

Ash lined up his shot perfect with the hatch. The lad was not sniper by any means, had never been in a military. But he and his brothers often had practiced putting holes in Blue Sun cans from quite a distance, and Asher had hunted ground hounds. [OOC: like a fox/gopher mix] That… and all the fightin' he had down back on Ezra against Gayner’s gang.

When the hatch hissed up, Asher nearly cursed out loud at the crates stacked up for cover.
A boy stood just off to the side of the crates, looking all of maybe16 years old and dressed like a school boy – even has a backpack on. A farmhand, like Ash, maybe… except for the ballistic vest and the guns strapped to his sides and one on the left leg.

The boy starts to move towards the house, looking like he is going to draw his guns and charge. Asher shifted his sights on the lad. “Want me to take the Nien Ching Duh {“young one”} out, Cap’n?”

[OOC: Assuming a “hmmm maybe not yet” reply]

The boy slowed down, and then actually stops – looking around at the dome environment and the vegetable garden with an uncontained sense of wonder. Asher smiled… Yep! Farmhand, fer sure! What’s he doing here?

The next man through was one of the biggest men Ash had ever seen. A barrel-chested man with wavy brown hair, crooked teeth and a nose that looked like it had been broken more than once.

“Now, that guy looks like one bad Wei Shian Dohn Wu {“dangerous person”}. Check out that purdy military issue gun, Dash. That sweet baby’s all dressed up for all sorts of foul play. Even gots a grenade launcher on there.”

The faux-farm catches even the big man off guard, and he moves behind the crates before Ash can get a clear shot.

Jim fires his warning shot into the dirt, six feet away from the young boy, who reacts with the terror of someone who has never been shot at before and runs back to the hatchway.

“WHO THE AI YAH TIEN AH ARE YOU?” Jim shouts out from the homestead.

“AND STAY OUT OF MY MATERS!” Sam adds.

A gruff voice, like the sound of dry leaves breaking under foot, calls out from the doorway. “Listen! We ain’t looking for trouble. Some XXX waylaid us on the way here and we thought they might want to tussle a bit more. I’m looking for Sam Hawkes. There is a bounty on his head that I aims to collect. Now we can play it soft or we play it hard. Soft, I send my partner up to the house and you send Sam down. My boy will serve as a safe passage mark to show how goodhearted I can be.”

There is a pause. Whispering can be heard but not loud enough to make sense.

“Or we play it hard.” He calls out and an audible whine can be heard. “Your choice!” he calls out.

Jim calls downstairs, “Sam? You holding out on me?”

“Hell no! I don’t have a XXX what this guy is talking about. Who’d put a bounty on me?”

“Consortium?” Jim conjures, “Their way of messing with us?”

“Could be. Nothing says Consortium like hired goons. But they’s more likely to get good old boys with clubs, not bounty hunters. too sophisticated for consortium.”

“It’s a trap Sam.” Kora says outloud, “I feel it in my gut. This is a trap.”

Asher tried to line up a shot on the big guy. “Cap’n, I can only get a clear shot on the kid. Those crates are blocking my view of the crazy man with the gun. Lines of sight any better down there? Or you want me to stay put here?”

[OOC: Tag Cap'n]

[OOC: I'm assuming we've got some sort of comm set that we're using to communicate to each other. If that's not the case, ignore my conversation stuff with the Cap'n if it means Asher would have to yell downstairs. He won't be yelling.]

Subject: Going down...

Tobin followed the ant with human arms. Its paper robe crackled with every move it made, as it walked through tunnels. Tobin’s inquisitive mind desired to touch the ant-man’s robe… Just to know what it’s made of… The scolding voice of his mother in his ear, reminding him to mind his manners, helped the cidal to resist.

The trip through the hive seemed to go down with every tunnel they entered. Every so many turns, Tobin could see the great gap that had also been outside his cell. It appeared to be some kind of centred shaft.

They passed hundreds of ants, and even at one point a string of humans, linked together with iron chains on their ankles. The humans were in a state of mental paralysis, and didn’t notice Tobin and didn’t seem to care carrying big sacks of dirt on their backs.

Hmmm… poor sigies… that doesn’t seem right… Tobin thought as he passed by. The littlest hero of Audalis was a cidal of freedom, and an enemy of slavery. I’ll have to bring it up with that big mother ant, if I see her, and see what can be done.

After fifteen minutes of steadily descending the tunnels they entered a walkway around the shaft. Tobin recognized this area from his vision earlier. There was something like a throne built on one side, and a wider space all around the opening in the ground. But the shaft didn’t go down much deeper. Thirty feet lower it stopped, forming some sort of arena. In the middle of the arena stood a large bush, but otherwise it was empty. From the side where they approached the arena hung a ladder made of rope and sticks.

The ant in the paper robes held out a hand towards the ladder, indicating that Tobin should descend. From all directions ants entered the area, workers, soldiers, and more paper robed ones. They all looked at the Cidal.

Tobin was caught up for a moment, distracted by the numerous ants, all looking at him, as if expecting something… something special… something big. Tobin stood a little straighter and smiled back at the ants a warm yet confident smile.

The ant-man in the paper robe, who had led him down here, was still indicating Tobin ought to descend down the rope ladder. “Oh, right! Sorry about that! Er… I mean…” Tobin had forgotten that the ants didn’t speak with words, but with thoughts, so the little cidal thought hard, trying to direct his thoughts towards the ant-man. Sorry about that! I got distracted by all your friends. Tobin got onto the ladder. What going on here anyway?

[OOC: Assuming no reply that makes a real difference]

The littlest hero of Audalis descended into the pit… the pit… the pit… Ants took them down into the pit. No more screaming. Find way out… The words on the wall of his room suddenly came into focus. He tried to shrug up the yucky feeling, Maybe this isn’t the pit he was talking about. Besides, if this keeps playing out like my vision, I think the mother ant just wants to say “Hi!” and “Welcome! So glad you could come and visit!!” She’ll probably just want to give me something special to eat, like a big welcoming feast. Then ask me a few questions about my adventures and send me off with her blessings. Sounds like a grand time… a grand time!

The ladies and the Kid stepped into the house just as the Cap’n was getting into negotiations with the prospectors.

“Well, now, Captain San,” Willow interjected demurely, “you didn’t start discussing business without me, now, did you?” The doctor extended her hand and turned the full power of her smile onto the two miners.

“I’m Willow Takahara, gentlemen. It’s my pleasure to meet you.”

Willow had her usual effect on menfolk: jaws dropping and the miners drooling over themselves. Ash just smirked and pulled up a seat by Dash. The miner named Sam finally cleared his throat and whacked his partner on the shoulder, ‘Jim? You’re letting the space-bugs in.” he said pointing at his mouth.

Dash chuckled at Jim and Sam’s reaction to Willow.

“Huh? Oh!” Jim shook his head and laughed again, “I’m a sorry ma’am, but it has been a long while since me and Sam seen a woman, let alone two and a right purdy ones at that. Welcome to our home.” He extended his hand to shake Willows and caught Wyatt looking at him for an answer. ’Un- ice? Oh. Oh! Sorry about that. My train plum left the station without my luggage. No sir, noting unexpected in the load, and you can come out and watch us load every box if you’d likes. If Bailey or I want you to smuggle for us, we’ll tell you and sweeten the deal.”

“Howzat, Cap,” Dash grinned, “not only is these fellas hardworkin’ prospector-types but they’s not to dull onna business end o’ things neither.”

Ash chuckled at Dash’s joke.

”Speakin’ o’ sweetnin’ the deal, Jim-bo,” Dash continued, rubbing his stomach, “Hows’bout that grub? I got a powerful rumblin’ stirred up in my gullet an’, if that other boat’s grease monkey’s even half as good as our Mei mei here,” inclining his head in Kora’s direction, “I don’ reckon they’ll be long fer showin’ up… Ma always said; better ta tussle on a full belly.”

“Yer ma’s got some good wisdom there, Dash. Good wisdom…”

”Oh hey! Wil don’ eat meat nor eggs,” the pilot’s smiled broadened as he came to that realization, “Ya don’ mind if me an’ the Kid eats yer share, do ya, Doc?”

Ash looked up hopefully at the doctor for the affirmative nod, and thanked the Lord above for the good doctor’s views on food.

The good Cap’n let his crew settle in to enjoy a meal, and Ash was more than ready for a second breakfast. The smells of real bacon and eggs nearly sent the lad off the walls and he could feel his mouth salivating.

“Well,” Sam said, his voice filled with pride. “We gots some veggies, the bacon’s done right, some coffee, and eggs… veggies fer the lady.”

“Eggs and bacon fer the lad,” Ash piped in as he snatched up a plate and helped himself. He tried not to be too rude and restrained himself from grabbing two plates.

Asher made his way back to the table, devouring a strip of bacon as he walked. Sitting down, he had to make a conscious effort to actually savor the food. He was just finishing up his first plate, when the Cap’n came by and inquired about his arm.

The lad showed the man his arm. “All shiny, Cap’n,” he grinned. “Doctor sure is handy with her hands!” He winked over at Willow.

Giving the young man a pat on the shoulder Wyatt rises and nods his thanks to Willow for taking care of Ash just in time for the warning to sound.

”Aww, man! Why they gotta go an’ interrupt breakfast?” the lad whined.

The Cap’n was all calm-like as he spoke.

“This is your home, boys. I ain’t about t’ tread on nothin’, but I gotta tell you I ain’t keen going out there with pants around my ankles, if ya catch my drift. So, unless you two have a right mighty urge to objectify, I’m gonna suggest me an’ mine take up someplace defensively proper with our iron skinned.”

Wyatt was only partially telling the truth. Fact was, he wasn’t going to wait for their OK.

“Dash, go high with Asher.” Asher gave the Cap’n a nod. He made a quick stop in the kitchen to grab a couple slices of bacon before picking up his rifle and heading upstairs after Dash.

Finding a window overlooking the coupler where the Celestia would be docking, Ash lined up the sights of the ol’ grizzly on the coupler’s door and switched the safety off.

[OOC: should the crew of the Celestia come out shooting, Ash will follow Wyatt’s orders and/or example – meaning, he would fire unless Dash or Wyatt tell him to, or he sees Wyatt shoot. If possible, Ash will try not to kill somebody. Instead, he’s looking to take out their legs.
He’s hoping the window slides open.]

Just as the Cap'n requested, Asher will be moving to the second floor, looking to find a window overlooking the second coupler.

And seeing as noone objected, Ash will be using the grizzly. If I'm not mistaken, it's got a scope which he'll be using. Sights/ eyes on the coupler door.

Tann: "Ok did you not see my post as to my reply to you and Preacher as to WHY I wanted to use the fire escape, because if you did you sure as hell made no response."

Blammm: I read your post. I just wasn't sure if Coyote actually heard Croaker. From your post I got the sense that Croaker was standing by the fire escape, trying to talk to us. Is that true? Because then I'm not sure Coyote would have heard Croaker over the storm and the road traffic. The distance seems quiet far.

Tann: "As Brom has stated and you have too he is MY brother and if you think I put him in harms way and don't know what I am doing reread Brom's post especially this part....

Croaker had kept on his way, and as he finished his instruction, the nomad spun about on his heel once more, putting his back to the others, and raced on to the corner of the building. Gazing around the corner, the nomad tried to be both hidden and observant. He could see the length of the alley, basically clear of obstruction, but too thin for anything more than a motorcycle, or a compact citycar to fit through

Now tell me I did the wrong thing..."

Blammm: Did you do the wrong thing? Maybe. Does Croaker really value his clan? If you would answer "yes", then I think you made the wrong choice. I think leaving Bullseye out front alone is basically leaving him to die. It won't take a lot of gangers to step out of the building and tear him apart.

Your post, though, seems to suggest that Croaker does NOT hold much value for Bullseye. In your post, Croaker says, "Yeah, I know he's in a dangerous spot, but we all are, no one said this job was going to be easy."

That doesn't sound like the voice of a brother, a clansman, to me. If Croaker doesn't value Bullseye above most other things, then your mistake is less.

But, I also think you made a tactical error. Leaving Bullseye out front alone means not only is he likely dead, but the party's ride is likely toast too. Then our guys are in real trouble.

The fact that the alley is narrow doesn't change anything. I don't think we need to be in the alley at all. I think our guys need to be out front protecting the van, not going around back looking for another way in.

Tann: "If Scribe and Guardian had not been there things would really be bad and Croaker would blame you."

Blammm: Then I guess Croaker will blame Coyote and Preacher. On the other hand, if Coyote heads out back with Croaker, and Bullseye dies out front, then Bullseye will blame us for not having his back.

And seeing as Coyote doesn't really give a frack about either of them, he's really doing what he thinks is best tactically: Protect the van, clear the entrance, hit the gangers from two sides.

Hope that helps.

Tobin searched the dead man’s body, looking for clues as to the cause of death. A deep wound in the young man’s gut seemed the likely source, the green flesh and ooze around the area a bad sign.

[OOC: Any clues as to what might have caused the wound? Or the green flesh? Or the ooze?]

In the process of searching, the little cidal gathered up the man’s belongings. Never know… maybe I’ll run into his kin sometime…

Shifting his attention the rest of the room, Tobin came across a panflute and a sewing pouch. These items he also placed into his backpack, almost without thinking.

Not finding an immediate way out, the littlest hero found a spot to sit and thinking about his situation. He wasn’t terribly anxious… Don’t do no good anyway…

The cidal had just settled into a nice thinking spot, when the two ants in front of his door started to move. One of them started to untie the rope that bound the door to the cell. The other one pressed its body flat on the ground. Even its head pressed down as if it wanted to sink into the bottom of the walkway. When the door was untied and opened, the other guarding ant joined its cousin in the strange position on the ground.

Around the corner appeared an ant unlike any of the ones Tobin had already seen. This one was larger than the others, bore a bronze helmet on its head, and wore a robe the looked like it was made from paper. From the sleeves of the robe sprouted human hands, but for the rest it was every bit as insect as the other ants. This should make for a good ‘round-the-fire story…

Without even looking at the flat ants, the large ant walked up to the opening of Tobin’s cage. As it looked at him, the little hero felt himself sink away in the endless facets of the creature’s eyes. He had a vision of himself standing in a pit, a hole in the ground. The edges of the pit were swarmed with ants that cheered his name. I wonder how they know my name?

On one end he noticed the large ant with human hands, even several of the same kind. In their midst was the mother of all of them, so large, her head could’ve been Tobin himself. Her long body carried away into a tunnel beyond Tobin’s sight. But even she felt appreciative towards him and nodded gently as he looked at her.

The cheering faded, the image too, and the ant in the cell’s opening nodded at the Cidal like the queen had done. Then he turned and walked away. The cell door remained open, the two guards flat on the ground.

Tobin wasted little time getting up and exited out of the cage. He paused for a moment to regard the ant guards laying prostrate before him.

[OOC: Tobin will try to follow after the big ant in the paper robe. Should the ant elude him, Tobin will look to exit to the outside.]

Coyote made up his mind. This zero could go try and find a fire escape if he wanted to, but Coyote was gonna wait around for their ride… cover the van, and try and clear the entrance for his employer.

The preacher seemed to be in agreement for the moment, so it surprised Coyote when looked back and saw Croaker continued down to the back of the building. What the frack, man!?!

Peering around the corner, Coyote saw the Bullseye pull the van up in front of the Hole, just ask Croaker had told him. The ganger took one more moment to look back at Croaker and was tempted to call the big nomad back. Forget about him, hombre. Man’s willing to let his brother die… the bastard’d have no problem leaving any of us for a meatbag. Still, Coyote wondered what the guy was thinking.

Coyote gave the preacher a nod, “Ride’s here. Those front doors open, and those ganger hit our man, and we’ll be hauling ass on foot.”

The ganger crouched down, steadied his weapon, allowing Preacher to shoot over him if need be.

“You wanna go in low, hit the door, and clear these gangers out? Or shall we stay here, keep our cover and wait to pick them off if they come out?”

He waited for Preacher’s response, attentive to any motion on the street around the van.

I don't know if you want to work something out, Brom, with regards to Coyote (either having him return to his "gang" or finding a great way to knock him off).

Subject: Wait... I thought we were...

Coyote sprinted across the concrete expanse, hitting the wall on the west side of Croaker. He dropped down to one knee, partly to make him a smaller target, partly to get out of Croaker’s sight lines. He waited for what felt like an eternity for the preacher man to join them, the ganger’s boosted senses searching out possible threats.

What the frack is going on? Shots from the roof and from inside… had the team inside been separated? The guard from the roof was noticeably absent from his post. And Coyote could make out a flurry of activity happening within the building itself. Was there another hit team going for the same prize? The ganger’s brain tried to tease out the possible scenarios, when the priest hit the wall.

“This way,” Croaker said.

Coyote made a motion to get ready to go around the east side to hit the main doors, where Croaker’s driver was supposed to be coming shortly. It seemed good sense to him. The Wild Things were likely disorganized (or, at least, distracted) by the gun shots inside and out. Hit the main doors, clear a path and (if the guys inside were still alive) press the gangers from both sides.

But the big nomad seemed to have a different plan, and crossed in front of Coyote, as he made his way west.

“Where are you going?” Coyote whispered in a hushed tone to Croaker. But the big nomad was already making his way to the western corner. Coyote took a quick peek around the eastern corner, looking for any sign of Croaker’s man in the van, or Coyote’s hopeful squad car.

[OOC: do I see either… or anything of note at all? Will post more if depending on Brom’s response]

1) Tann, I'm not sure trying to go up the fire escape is the best idea.

Croaker has ordered Bullseye to the front entrance. You're not worried that he's going to get gangbanged along with our ride if he's out there all alone? By the time we get to the fire escape (which you're hoping is there), Bullseye will be out front. We'll have to find/ fight our way through the building (back to front) to get back to him. I think you're sending your clansman (likely the only other surviving member of your tribe) to his death out there by himself.

Beyond that, if there's any WildThings that become aware of us trying to jump up to the fire escape, we'll be pretty much sitting ducks. It'll likely take all three of us to try the stunt, two boosting - one being boosted - noone able to shoot.

I say we bust through the front door, uzis blazing full auto, or at least wait for Bullseye to arrive and then hit the Hole. Then we can fight the baddies from both sides (PK,FW,and Spiff from the upper level/ us from the lower level)
