How about busting through the door and pressing the gangers in on both sides.

I think we could shoot blindly atleast for one to two rounds without META gaming. We heard shots from the roof and upper levels of the building. Nothing on the main floor.... which leads Coyote to belief there's no danger in hitting our comrades if we bust in blazing.

shoot some lead into the building blind like through the door (if possible), than Coyote busts in and yells, "Everyone! Get the frack down on the floor before I paint the walls with your brain matter!"

Thirty seconds is, like, 10 combat rounds... I'm thinking we can squeeze off a good deal of lead in 10 rounds! ;-)

"Hey there, friend," Tobin smiled. "Not looking to cause any trouble... just watching you all hard at work."

If the ant heard Tobin, it did nothing to stop him. It seemed more like the thing wasn’t thinking at all, and just following orders. It continued its run and dove right on top of the little Cidal.

But Tobin had been in this situation before, and he dove to the side with elegant suppleness. The ant turned quickly and came at the rogue once more. From behind him Tobin could hear another set of legs rushing his way. He tried to dodge aside in time, and succeeded by a hair.

If he wanted to run, this was the best moment. But then, all of a sudden, he felt like a hand had grabbed his brain and squeezed. Owww!

As the pain suddenly went away he felt one with a larger force, a soft womb of intelligence that soothed his thinking and comforted him into numbness. Whoa! Hmmm… That feels better.

Through the haze in his mind, he saw the two large ants approach and thought, Hello, friends.

When he regained his own state of mind again he was standing in a small chamber made of hard sand. There was only one way out of this room, and it had been barred with a fence made of wood and metal. Around Tobin lay several dead animals and even the fresh corpse of a young human male.

Outside his prison was a large walkway around a big hole. Connecting to the walkway were numerous tunnels going up and down. An endless stream of chaotic ants ran in and out of tunnels or over the edge of the big hole, and up the walls towards the next level. In front of his cell stood two of the warrior type ants. They were looking at Tobin with tight gazes that didn’t blink, and didn’t betray any kind of emotion.

Tobin gave his head a shake, “Wow! That was an interesting trip.” Looking around him, he thought, Hmmm… this doesn’t look good… I wonder how I got here…

The little cidal checked his equipment over. Seems like they were away my food… At least they left me with my bow and rapier… hmmm… I wonder how this poor lad ended up here?

Tobin checked the young man for vitals to ensure he really was dead… he was. “Not a good sign, little hero… not a good sign…” he thought aloud as he checked the lad for anything of interest.

[OOC: Tobin will search the young man - Take 20]

After searching the corpse, Tobin continued his search by looking over his “room” for anything else of interest, occasionally looking over at the ants keeping watch over him.

[OOC: Will stop here for now… see what Tobin discovers in his searching… taking 20 again... I'm looking for anything -- alternative exits, items of interest on the ground or walls or ceiling, anything that would indicate how the young lad died... I'll stay away from the fence for now]

[OOC: Back in the Med Bay with Willow]

The fine doctor was so skilled at her work, at the art of distraction or, at least, the art of redirection, that Asher nearly forgot about the time, and the Cap’n and Dash out on the comet. Willow gave the area around Asher’s inner elbow one last pass, and then seemed to be inspecting her work.

Asher looked too. His skin looked as if he’d had been working the fields under Esra’s sun in the early planting season – when one’s skin was still getting’ use to the new year’s sun.

The pain was gone, though the area itched a bit and felt a bit tight and tender. The doctor seemed satisfied with it though and Asher thought it a good sign she set aside the dermal mender and re-bandaged the area. The urge to get going again started to well up inside the kid and he let out an unconscious sigh.

Playfully, Willow ruffled Asher’s hair and patted his cheek. “There you go, my knight in shining new skin,” she laughed gently, “have a care now and no scratching at the bandage. Here’s some vitamin E oil,” she handed the lad a small vial, “that you rub into it every morning and night. That will stop it from tightening up too soon and it’ll ease the itch, too.”

Asher tested out his new skin by stretching out his hand, making a fist, and bending his elbow a couple times. The skin was tight for sure, and he already knew he’d have to lead with his other hand in a gunfight… but at least he could still shoot with it.

“Thanks, Willow!” the lad grinned enthusiastically.

“Now shoo!” She waved him away, eyes twinkling. “A girl’s got to get ready and has been dallying with a young man long enough.”

Ash nearly leapt off the chair, like a boy who’d been cooped up in the house all week, eager to go outside.

As he left the room, he called back, “You’re the greatest, Willow!”

[OOC: Down in his bunk…]

Asher changed quickly into clean clothes and slid on his ‘slinger belt. Opening up his lockers, he lovingly took out his pair of Pythons, Rachel and Leah, loading them with practiced grace before placing them in their holsters.

Standing in front of his mirror, the Kid practiced drawing his steel a couple times -- Bham! Bham! -- getting a sense of how the new skin was going to limit him for the moment. Just gonna have to lead left for a while…

Cap’n Sung came over the radio. “Roc, why don’t ya all come on down to the spread for a bite t’ eat. Step lightly folks, we don’t want t’ ruin Sam’s tomatoes.”

Asher smiled knowingly… ruin the tomatoes… I gotcha, Cap’n. Holstering the Pythons again, the kid went back to the lockers and pulled out an assault rifle, an ol’ grizzly from the war days. Asher slammed a magazine in, gave the gun a once over, before shouldering it. The kid dropped in two speed loaders and two magazines into the pockets along his bandoleer.

He was just about to lock up when the concussion grenades caught his attention. Cap’n said to “step lightly”… He scooped out two of them and attached them to his bandoleer as well. Locking up, he headed back up the ladder to meet up with the rest of the crew in the cargo bay.

[OOC: In the kitchen…]

Asher made a deliberate pass by the kitchen on his way to the cargo bay. Show Trish my new skin…

The kid moved in quick, “Hey Trish! Did ya hear? Got me some new skin today!” He let the woman inspect it as closely as she wanted… maybe closer than she wanted. “Willow did a mighty job, for sure.”

Trish was gentle with her touch, as Asher continued. “It itches a bit, and feels a bit tight-like. I’ll have to lead with my left for bit, but I’m just as quick off the mark. Right… left… don’t matter none t’ me. I’ll still beat the man in front of me.”

The lad realized he was rambling in his excitement. “So… I take it, y’ ain’t comin’ out for breakfast with us, huh?”

Trish shook her head and went back to wiping down the counter. The kid popped up beside her and gave her a peck on the side of her cheek. “That’s no problem, Trish. I can see yer pretty busy here. I’ll bring ya back something… Mmmm… real food!”

Asher gave Trish another kiss on the cheek, and nearly bounced out of the kitchen in anticipation.

[OOC: Down on the ramp…]

Asher made his way to the ramp, and found Willow already waiting, her fresh scent washing over him as he approached. Wow… washed and changed… man, she’s quick…

The doctor’s eyes were bright and a toothy smile was on her face. Asher proudly showed off his holstered pistols to the doctor, “Pretty nice, huh? Man, I love these two girls.”

He turned to the side quickly and drew the pistol, left to right. “Bham! Bham!” Turning to Willow, “Good work on the arm, Doctor. Still should work just fine if the lead starts to fly.”

[OOC: Should Kora or Willow make some comment about how they think maybe Asher is packing a little too much firepower, Asher will respond with, “Really? You think the grenades are too much?” If they do, Asher will return them to his room quick… and the rifle too, if they both think it’s too much.]

[OOC: That’s all the time I have right now… sorry… Asher eat hardily of the food provided… getting seconds if offered. He’ll follow commands as given.]

Within the shadows of a large tree and behind the cover of a bush, the little cidal watched with wide-eyed wonder the ants hard at work. Amazing! he thought to himself.

As Tobin watched he took note of the ants patterns of behavior, a skill honed from watching a good deal of animals in his life. The organization and diligence at which these creatures worked reminded him of the khords in their underground caverns.

He took note of the fact that there seemed to be some form of hierarchy amongst the ants or, at least, a class separation. Those ants wearing the clothes seemed to be the warriors, while those without were the labourors of the community. While little verbal communication seemed to pass between the ants, each seemed to know what they were supposed to be doing.

The large pile also stirred up the cidal's imagination... I wonder hope deep they home goes into the earth? I wonder if they make tunnels like the khords? I wonder what they're doing with all that wood? I wonder how many of them live in there?

Suddenly a movement on the pile of sand caught Tobin’s eye. An ant that looked slightly bigger than the others came running down the pile and stopped right above the opening. It looked straight at one of the clothed ants, and it responded with a nod, even though they weren’t looking at each other. Then it ran straight at Tobin.

The cidal quickly assessed his surounding environment, taking note of nearby cover and a exit route. Tobin did not draw his weapons though. Instead, he focused on creating a non-theating environment: He had his hands out in front, and large smile on his face, and take two steps back.

"Hey there, friend," Tobin smiled. "Not looking to cause any trouble... just watching you all hard at work."

[OOC: Tobin will take a total defense move (tumbling out of the way if necessary), while trying both his Animal Emotion abilities, or his diplomacy skills, on the large ant.]

The players kept their eyes lowered at the ground, none wanting to speak. Blammm looked around... no DM. "Where's Al?"

Eol spoke up hestitately, "He...um... he... fell asleep and didn't bring in the baddies."

"What?!?" Blammm cried out. "But I wanted to shoot off my guns." he whined. "Man... what am I suppose to do with these now. (indicating the rifles in his hands)"

Subject: Ants are a good source of fibre

The journey out of the mountains was good for Tobin; while he had no problem spending significant time under the earth (indeed, he had spent nearly a month traveling through the ruined khordish mines of X’undagh with good ol’ Borric), the cidal still preferred the light of the day over the artificial light of a torch or a gem.

The midday view from the top of the mountain was breath-taking, and Tobin paused to eat a light meal and readjust his gear. As he rested, he whistled gaily to himself and looked expectantly at northern forest of the Syls. What have you in store for me, Mistress?

The journey became somewhat easier as the cidal began moving out of the mountains. As night fell, the littlest hero of the people found shelter under a large tree. As he ate of the rations he had received earlier, Tobin thanked his mistress for her provisions and said a pray of blessing for Guland. Sleeping under the open sky, with the light cool breeze of late summer, was refreshing for both Tobin’s body and spirit.

The cidal broke camp with the sound of birds in his ears. Before pressing on towards Alloryen, he left a small gift of seeds and bits of dried fruit for the feathered choir. “Just a token my friends for the gift of joy you have given,” he called out to the song birds.

The day’s journey took Tobin passed some sigies worked diligently in their fields or around their homes. The cidal smiled broadly and waved as he made his way on towards the sylvarian woods.

As he began to make his way through the lighter brush of Alloyen, Tobin was forced to pause by a new wonder that crossed his path – a large column of sand rose up before him in the distance. It was interesting, for sure, but what really piqued his curiosity was the giant ants which seemed to be using the massive dirt pile as their shelter.

The sight of some sparse clothing worn by some of the ants was almost too much for the little cidal, and Tobin had to stop himself from rushing over and asking the ants a hundred and one questions about themselves. Instead, caution tempered his wonder, and he tried to creep closer without intruding, but in order to get a better view.

OOC: Tobin will attempt to move silently and hide amongst the brush, moving towards the column so that he can hoping overhear what the ants are saying. He will not have any weapons drawn.

... is how life is like for me this week.

I will not be able to post a response to Croaker's request. But Coyote is willing to go up the fire escape and provide sniper cover. I would guess that Coyote would respond to Croaker by taking a quick look at the building across from them, and calculating the possibility to provide sniper cover for Croaker (i.e. can he realistically shoot the gangers on the other building with the gun he's got?) If the answer is "yes" he'll do it. If no, then he'll relay his doubts to Croaker. If Croaker insists, then Coyote will go for it anyway.

Hope that helps. I'll be back in a week(ish).

[OOC: Backposting… responding along the way…]

Hearing the docking clamps lock into place, and seeing that Kora had everything under control, Asher leaned against the paneling for a moment to catch his breath and rally his wits about him.

He listened as the Doctor gave her report to the Captain. “Minor medical event in the engine room, Captain-san, but we’re shiny now. Just no hitting Asher on the arm for a while, or you’ll have me to face. Pardon the impertinence, but are we there yet? My stomach can’t remember which way is up.”

“What the hell happened so that he got himself broke?”

The kid winced as he heard the Cap’n’s voice, feeling as though he had let the man down. Ash grabbed the mic with his good hand to respond, “Blew a panel, Cap’n. Singed a few of my arm hairs along the way tryin’ t’ make things happen smooth, ya know. But Doc says it ain’t nothing…” A wave of pain shot up Asher’s arm, causing him to catch his breath before continuing, “…everything’s all shiny now.”

“Ta Ma Duh! (Damn!)” Visions of Roc falling apart around him filled his head. “Well, tell Kora she don’t have much time to get the patch on. I don’t want to be sittin’ on this spinning iceblock fer very long.

“Ash, git yerself all patched and meet me an’ Sam in the cargo hold pronto. The rest o’ ya, strap some iron for the duration. We’re preparin’ fer Tian Shia (Everything under the sky).”

“On my way, Cap’n,” the kids replied. Strapping on iron was the kind of adventure Asher lived for and the thought renewed his spirit a bit. He was about to leave when Willow spoke up.

"Asher, get yourself to the medical lab, please and thank you?”

Asher sighed as he looked upon the doctor’s angelic face. Willow continued, “I won't let you miss out on too much fun, but that arm needs more care if you want to be able to keep bending that elbow at any more bars."

“Awww, come on!” Asher started to protest, but was cut off by Willow’s “look”.

He tried to continue, “But this is the kinda stuff I live for. This is what I do!”

Still the “look.”

He pleaded with her once more, “But, you told the Cap’n everything was all shiny…”

Willow didn’t even bat an eye.

The kid sighed, “Fine,” and let out another sigh. “Fine, I’ll go! Just let’s make it quick or Dash is riding me about this for weeks.”

Willow nodded and headed out. Asher finished helping Kora tidy up as best he could before heading down to the med lab himself.

He had expected to find the doctor waiting for him, but the place was empty. He sat down in the chair and waited.

Probably telling the Cap’n I ain’t comin’ along ta play. Ta Ma Duh! (Damn!) The pain in his arm was beginning to throb again. Ta Ma Duh! Gorram fire!

Dash’s voice interrupted his internal rant. “Where ya at, Kid?” he called.

Where am I at?! Gorram it, you know, you…! The lad was so angry (and hurt (and scared)) his mind could even form the names he wanted to call the pilot. Dash knew damn well that the doctor had sent him to the med lab. Huen Dahn’s (Bastard's) lookin’ to rub it in…

Sure enough, Asher caught sight of the pilot peekin’ in.

“Ya a’right, Ash,” he asked, “not jus’ playin’ sick so’s ya c’n go roll ‘round in them sheets is ya?”

“Bi Jweh.(Shut up.)” Asher snapped back. “Think I like this?! Doctor’s holding me back, Ghu-Ghu. (big brother) While you and the Cap’n get all the glory. It’s dumb, ya know. I only need one arm ta shoot.”

“Don’ sweat it, Kid,” Dash winked, “Miss Will’s like ta have ya patched up in two shakes. Hell, it don’ even look that bad. Me an the Cap’ll save ya some fun if’n it comes ta that. Stay frosty, puhn yoh. I’ll bring ya back a hat er somethin’.”

“Chwee Ni Duh.” (Screw you!)

The Cap’n voice crackled over the comm. system as Dash strolled out of the infirmary. Asher just sat stiffly in the chair, the pain in his arm increasing. Gorram it! Where’s the sweet doctor at?!

[OOC: Moving to the scene of Willow fixing Asher up.]

It was amazing was a good doctor could do. It was even more amazing what a good-looking doctor could do. As tense and hurt and angry as Asher was before Willow arrived, the lad felt much of it leave under the care of the fine doctor. Her gentle touch, her soothing reassuring voice… even the smell of her perfume… all were like a balm that helped ease his pain and relax his mind.

He watched her pass the dermal mender across his hand and arm with a slow practiced motion, he felt the pinprick pain of nerve endings being repaired and the intense throbbing become closer to a dull ache. The wound was healing but very slowly.

After a while, Ash looked up at Willow. “I ain’t getting out of here any time soon, are I?”

Willow assured him this was normal because of it being a burn. Cuts and bullet holes are easier to mend if there ain’t no vitals hit. Burns however, required a slow patient hand.

“I’m still gonna be able ta shoot with it, though, right?”

Hey all... I've spoken with Almerin about this, and have decided with Al's grace to leave the party (for now, at least). Tobin's motivation just don't match with "adventuring for loot".

Tobin, as a character, is like the Littlest Hobo (if you're old enough to remember the show) seemingly showing up a just the right moment to help folks out and then leaving when things look like they've been resolved for the good. Leaving to look for other good folks in need of a hero.

So, anyway, I'm off on my own little adventure for now... which is good for me personally as a player too, as I'm crazy with RL until Apr 23.

Anyway... just thought I'd give you the heads up, and help to explain my post.

Thanks!

Topic: The Chakran Portal - an Adventure in Audalis
Subject: Not along for the journey

Tobin had, for the most part, sat quietly during the evening meal. He made small talk with those around him, praised their host for his generosity, and occasionally let his wonder of Granitefingers’ residence escape his lip with exclamations like, “Wow! Would you look at this column! Like Khorax himself came down and carved that rock!”

Otherwise, the cidal listened in to the others speak about the important matters of Guland’s request. Tobin listened intently, especially to Guland’s story of the demise of the Chakrans. Tobin had heard the story before, but the cidal loved a good story, and now he could say he had heard it from a khord and that would give the story a bit of credibility.

But as Tobin listened in to the conversation about the travels to the Chakran mountains, and as the sigies* haggled on about the matters of compensation and such, Tobin began to feel the call of the road and the pull of his Mistress to move on.

The cidal looked around the table at his travelling companions for the last while – Loda, Aylissa, even Draven – friends... even if the dark human didn’t see it that way. Tobin had happening upon them one day, sense his good Lady had placed them in his path, and had watched over them as best he could til now...

Now... now, it seemed, it was time to let them go. The littlest hero of Audalis had brought them safe so far; now it was time to entrust them into the care of his Mistress and the light of Solanis. His Lady had seen fit to add a few more travelling companions to his friends, and Tobin felt that they should be able to manage well enough on their own.

But where was Lady Luck leading him next? What adventure lay before him? Tobin had grown accustomed to listening in to the conversations around him, learning that the good Lady often dropped hints in the words of others.

And so it happened: it was the conversation about the syls and their woods that caught his attention. He resolved that, for the moment at least, he would travel on ahead and alone to the woods of the syls, confident that his Mistress and the light of Solanis would guide his path.

When dinner was over, and they were shown to their rooms, the cidal set his plans into motion. He packed up his belongings, and using the fine metal pen and ink available on the writing desk, Tobin wrote a small letter to his, now previous, charges:

“Dear Aylissa, Draven, Loda, and others:

It has been such an honour to travel with you on this latest part of your journey. You have been most pleasant company to keep these last days.

I feel my time has come to leave you, though. The Lady of the road calls me once again to it, for new adventure and for the benefit of others.

I have left already and leave you this note. I am not one for long good-byes... for who can say? Perhaps our paths shall cross again!

May the luck of the Lady keep you and the light of Solanis guide you on your way!

Tobin Tumblebelly
The Littlest Hero of Audalis”

Having finished his farewell note, he folded and sealed it, gathered up his belongings and went in search of Guland.

[OOC: Almerin, should Tobin be able to have a conversation with Guland, he will thank the khord for his hospitality and inform his that he will not be taking part in the khord’s mission, that his Mistress is calling him elsewhere. Tobin will ask Guland if he can spare some rations for the way, and thank him again regardless. The cidal will leave the note with Guland to pass on to his companions in the morning (or to a servant if Guland is unavailable), and then be off, stopping only to replenish his supply of arrows (if available at this time of the night).]

[OOC2: *sigies is the cidal word for "tall folk"]

[OOC: ... all hell breaks loose in the engine room.]

Asher had grown used to playing gopher boy for Kora when it came to helping out in the engine room. In everyday circumstances, sometimes the kid wished the gifted engineer would trust him a bit more… teach him a bit more about the ins and outs of the Roc. Kora was like a jealous lover, though, when it came to her “baby”… so Asher had taken up “distance education” with her, silently watching from a ways away. He had gotten good at handing whatever tool Kora needed at the moment and had become intimately familiar with Kora’s tool kit – knew where everything belonged and was careful to return everything back to its place.

Kora reminded Ash of his father, and their times together repairing the farm’s skiff. That thing was an old beast of a work horse, but Ash’s dad loved the thing. “Keep the coolant hose clean,” he’d say, “treat ‘er like a lady, she’ll stay faithful t’ ya t’ the end, son.”

But when bad things came a knockin’ ‘round the Roc, the distance education proved useful… the kid passed the tool needed, Kora focussed on the problem at hand – smooth like a good whiskey.

This day seemed no different – Asher handed Kora everything right like, Kora got the juice flowing for Dash. With the competition out the way, Kora seemed to be looking to bring the Roc back to “normal operating” levels… smooth like…

An odour assaulted the kid’s nose, “What is that sme…”

With instant reflexes and a good dose of luck, the kid sidestepped the sudden launch of the control panel beside him. His sidestep, however, gave the fire in waiting the perfect opportunity to strike. The intense flames licked and lapped at his arm, looking to drawn in the young gunman. But in its eagerness, the flames worked against themselves, pushing Asher back until his slipped to the ground, stunned by the sudden and painful turn of events.

The young lad had been kicked by a horse when he was younger. He’d been shot once too. But the raging pain of burn coursing through his arm caused Ash to scream through clenched teeth. Kora quickly extinguished the flames as the kid struggled to catch his breath through the pain.

The engineer called out for Willow as Asher slip himself up off the floor using the still good paneling to brace himself. The pain sought to push him back down, but Ash push back harder, biting down to regain control. Kora’s dependin’ on ya! Whole ship’s dependin’ on ya to be on in this moment. Now, get ‘er done Talhone!

Asher could hear Willow making her way to the engine room, as he attempted to continue helping the engineer. Don’t look at the burn! Focus on Kora! Get the girl what she needs!

“Asher?” It was Willow.

“I’m fine enough,” he stated through gritted teeth.

“Asher Talhone, you look at me now.” The doctor’s tone reminded the young lad of his mother. Ash took a moment longer turning to face Willow, trying hard to blink away the tears, to push aside the terrible pain and fear that made him want to cry like a baby.

Willow pressed on, "This is no big deal, you hear me? Let's patch you up so you can be of more use to Kora here, alright?"

Asher turned to the doctor and, while the kid didn’t sob, tears flowed down by their own will as he looked into the doctor’s eyes. Willow smiled reassuringly at the young man, then took his left arm carefully into her gloved hands to examine it. The slightest move made burnt cloth pull at the oozing burns, and she knew she had to protect the tender flesh beneath. "Hang on, babe," she murmured, then reached into the kit to pull out a can of anesthetic spray. She applied the spray liberally to the burned areas and Asher soon felt the pain dull a bit.

Willow made quick work of Asher’s shirt sleeve. With the sleeve gone, Asher finally took a look at his injury, the sight nearly making the young man gag and fall to the floor again.

"Just you watch what Kora's doing, ok, Ash?” Willow said reassuringly. “You pay her close mind, so you know how to help in a minute."

The kid followed her lead, looking back at Kora to see how things were going for the engineer. The occasional “ghawarrrr!” escaped from Ash’s lips as the scissors cut across pain receptors not quite numbed from the spray.

"Just a minute more, and we'll be done, my dear, " Willow murmured, smiling again as the worst of it was over. The antiseptic splash on his arm once again threatened to send Ash’s world spinning with its intense cooling warmth.

Asher felt the quick sealing bandage, the weave designed not to stick to raw flesh. Patting the edges in place before the anesthetic spray could wear off, Willow looked back up at Asher and gave him a quick kiss on the cheek, the fine doctor’s alluring perfume grabbing his attention. He gave Willow a silly grin, like he was saying ‘what was that for?’

"And a kiss to make it all better," she finished, letting the young man go and stepping back to start cleaning up the debris of her work. "Give Kora what help she needs, and when you're done, we'll get you on my table for a proper healing."

Asher gave the doctor a “I’m-tough-really-I-am” reassuring smile and nod before looking to help Kora. He found the capable engineer was already finished as was starting to put things back into place.

He helped her as best as he was able to tidy up. When they were about done, Kora asked, “Do you smell something funny?”

“You mean besides burned wiring and Asher flambé?” Willow piped in, raising an eyebrow. The kid gave her a look. Willow continued, “Yes, and that’s distinctly urine and feces, or numbers 1 & 2 as Usha referred to them, I had enough whiffs of it in the emergency room. Something small and nasty has gotten behind your panels and done its business back there. I think we have space rats!”

“Not space rats,” Asher corrected. He knew the smell well from life on the farm. “That’s burning cat piss smell for sure. We had at least twenty cats back on the farm. That’s a smell you don’t forget. Probably from that ball of fur that zipped by us on our way down here.”

1) Can you update the map pic with our present [Croaker and co.] location and the locations of the ganger on the roof and Digital Scribe?

2) If the bullets start to fly, is there a corner we can duck around that would make shooting us a bit more tricky?

3) How far away are we from the main entrance? And how long would it take for us to sprint there?

Thanks!

Coyote looked at Preacher and then the roof once more. "Yo, you don't see that ganger with the long range yet?"

[OOC: Pause for Preacher's response]

"I'm suggesting strongly we limbo our asses outta here quick like... before one of us finds a reddot on our heads. Bossman, what's the plan?"

[OOC: Is there any cover at all around here? Dumpster, garbage can, cars?]
