Cain opened his mouth to reply, but at that moment Ravyn's eyes snapped open and her claws grew out. He blinked; that gave her enough time to charge foreword and in seconds, Kari-Bliss was on the ground and screaming, Ravyn pinning her down.

Blood arched through the air and the wild girl moved of and tore off into the trees and Kari-Bliss was still shrieking, clutching her neck. Red was pouring over her fingers, and she was bucking and twisting like an animal.

Cain cursed and kneeled by her, trying to get a better look at her wound, but she slammed into him and knocked him back, still sobbing and screaming.

You get there eventually if you're a consistent player and don't get chastized by fellow players and Gm/Dms. I myself like where I'm at GM-wise, I just wish a bigger variety of people would be willing to give me a chance.

P.S. Call him Olan

"The woods-"

Cain broke off because at that moment, Kari-Bliss stumbled into sight, leaves and twigs tangled in her now-wild curls. She was still clutching the boys hand, and looked at her twin sheepishly, her eyes widening in surprise as she spotted Ravyn.

"Where did she come from?" She asked curiously, to which Cain just glowered and she blushed.

Subject: Her own speech, xD not nearly as epic

Emily looked quite shocked from watching all of them break down, and her eyes flickered between their faces, then at her hands. She was gripping the iron so tight her knuckles were white, but right now, she couldn't feel the pain.

"I agree, we need to move or we're gonna be chow..." She sighed, wishing she'd never started talking at all, "And like I said to Mac, we're gonna need new clothes... protection, ya know, and it'll be cooling down soon..."

If we're even still alive.

She hung her head slightly, shoulders hunched, feeling the depression and anxiety settle on her again. "B-but I don't really know anything, I'm just trying to help out..." Emily flushed and looked up at Murph, her eyes apologetic. "Your our leader... So....

"I'm up for whatever you say, because as far as I'm concerned, you guys are the last real people I'm ever gonna see and I'm glad I ended up with people like you. Most others would have left me when they figured out I was sick, but you guys have stuck by me and all of us are a team...

Murph, I loved your speech, so I'm sorry if I'm stealing your thunder here... I just..." She sniffed slightly, and a tear ran down her cheek, "I just want to thank you for not giving up on me. And that I'll be beside all of you, no matter what happens."

She smiled sadly, feeling a bit wishy-washy, and coughed to try and ease some of her embarassment as well as clear her throat. "But, I do think we should leave."

Ravyn groaned and stirred a bit, and Cain shrugged, still furious.

"She threatened kari-Bliss."

Emily was already reaching for the tire iron when Murphy mentioned it, so she just nodded curtly and wrapped a hand around it, leaning the pool cue up against the side of the cruiser. She stepped back, out of the others way, and coughed into the back of her arm, thinking.

Suddenly, a thought flared to life: they were going to need clothes. Her jeans looked like they'd been through a war, and she could see the bottoms of her shoes starting to peel away... Besides that, Amber was in a dress, and it wasn't really fit for standing up in a fight. Besides that, when she tried to move her arms, her shirt was stiff from the lack of bathing or changing from her time in the cellar of the pub. Emily sighed and looked at the others.

Slowly, she strolled over to where Mac was, looking at the cruiser. "You know, I was thinking, and I realized that we're gonna need something new to wear..." She gestured down at herself, "We're filthy and Amber's in a dress, and my pants and shoes are a wreck. We won't be able to-" And here she broke off to gag, shaking violently with her arm covering her mouth, until she managed to get ahold of herself, "To function.

"We should be able to find something nearby, right? I mean, we're in the middle of godd*** Chicago..."

Emily finally looked up at Mac, her breath rattling in her chest. She was sure she looked like a wreck, and was confusing everyone with her sudden new resolve, but things were changing quickly. Whatever that... thing had been, it had opened her eyes, and she couldn't keep playing the weak one. If these people were willing to protect her, the least she could do was fight for them, and that couldn't happpen if she couldn't even walk without her legs locking up and going into panic attacks.

Emily paused for a second, then stepped foreword with him, but cast a look over her shoulder at Alaster.

"Not to be rude... I know I fell apart a bit, but I'm not a cripple. I don't need someone holding my hand because they think I'm weak, because I may be a worry-wart, but I am not deffensless. Please, leave me to take care of myself, or you'll see exactly what I'm capable of."

With that, she faced foreward again and took a deep breath to steady herself, extremely glad she didn't have a tickle in the back of her throat.

"I'm Kari-Bliss-" Her eyes flickered to where Faroak had been a second later, and then she held out her hand to him, palm upturned, markings gone, "And I'm not willing to leave you alone, so come on."

Without waiting for him to respond, she grabbed his hand and tugged him along behind her, stomping through the undergrowth.
---
Ravyn stood up, and Cain nearly laughed at how pathetic she looked. Not only was she smaller than Kari-Bliss, her bones jutted out, a sign of starvation.

"And what will you do about this, wild one?"

Ravyn smirked and stepped foreword, getting close to his face without flinching; Cain, however, reflexively took a step back.

"She is your sister, yes? The pretty red-head? I'll rip her apart if you don't wuit trespassing, and leave that flaming mane of hers in your tent. As a goodbye present."

Cain stared at her blankly for a minute, then snarled and lunged for her, wrapping his hands around Ravyn's throat, only thinking about this... this girl threatening his baby sister!

The second she realized what was happening, Emily froze, and whatever color she still had left drained to a sheet white. Her palms suddenly sweating, her already-feeble grip on the pool stick slipped and she leaned heavily on Alaster for support, fearing her legs were about to give out from underneath her.

Oh my god, I'm gonna die.

Kari-Bliss finally stepped close enough for the newcomer to see, the cat-like coloring of her eyes transisting nicely to the off-blue. She smiled sweetly, but her right hand was hidden behind her back, and very faint black cracks criss-crossed her hand. For those who knew, this meant her magic was ready, and if neccesary, she would fight for Faroak.

"What're you doing here, stranger?" Her voice held the slight accent of her old past, making her words a bit snippier than needed, "We were told not many people would be here, and those that were were on our side."
---
Cain bolted up the second he thought he heard something, his ears straining. For a few moments, he almost thought he was being paranoid, but then-

Snap

He was out of the tent in a flash, and signalled Bran to be quiet, gazing around them. A quick darting on his left and he turned in time to be barelled over from the front. Instinctively, Cain threw his weight and shoved his enemy off, scrambling to his knees.

Barely illuminated by the fire, a girl crouched a few feet away from him. Jet black hair hung chin-length on her, and her violet eyes were wary. The second they made eye-contact, she growled and lunged for him again, her nails like claws.

Cain winced when they hit his cheek and grabbed her wrist, throwing her off him. She grunted as she hit a log and looked up; her eyes darted to Bran and she smiled.

"So, there are more than one of you? That means you are not here as poachers... Then what would you be here for?" She had a thick, Russian accent, and sat back. He couldn't help but compare her to a wild wolf, the way her eyes were so savage and how her body moved like an animal's. Out of the corner of his eye, he watched claws shrink from her left hand and turn into sharp, red-coated nails.

Cain sucked in a breath and looked back in her eyes, "Who are you?"

"I'm Ravyn, and these woods, are my home."

Kari-Bliss was nearby when she heardthem and flinched, instantly, then stood still, trying to pinpoint the location. She realized it was Faroak... But...

I don't recognize the other one.

She smirked when she heard a voice and her eyes flashed, "I'd like to hear you try and get him."

Emily has no weapons

And I'm playing her, for now, but I won't be sad or anything if she dies. But *spoiler* she will be killed by zombies when that time comes, not from her disease.

So, as some of you know, I'm working on a book posted to my deviantART, and I'm hoping it's got good reviews so far. However, I'm bored, and have started two new projects which directly relate to you guys:

I'm transforming two games into book format!

The first of which will be Witch Heart, a failed game by Vampiria. I really liked the idea and plot behind it, though some posts were.... yeah, and it failed. But I'm attempting to change it into a book we can read.

The second will be the book version of The Killing Instincts: Of Man and Magic. This is my own game, and is still being run, but I'd like to attempt writing it as a book as well!

Both of these projects will be posted to the Inn exclusively, so I hope you'll drop in and read them!

So far, the next one is set to begin on the day of Cain and Ravyn's wedding. oops, just told you who's gonna pop up

Anyways, since I'm confident in us all, Dellacoure was defeated but *BLANKED OUT* so Kari-Bliss has forsaken the others and is now know as the White One because she keeps a cloak on constantly and no longer speaks. I'm thinking the quest this time will end be something about saving Kari-Bliss from *BLANKED OUT* or them having to bring her out of her self-imposed exile to fight an evil force threatening the village.

But oh my gosh, i also wanna clue you guys into this: the game is being written as a book!!!!

Hypothermia's setting in.

Kari-Bliss eventually got off and headed out into the unknown, shivering slightly.

Now that she was away from the fire, light was limited, so without hinking her eyes turned reflexively into those of a wild cat's, allowing her to see. Kari-Bliss kept jumping at the smallest sounds, trying to figure out which way Faroak went, hugging herself tightly.
