Subject: No problem!

"No!" Kari-Bliss instantly stumbled over and hugged him loosely around the shoulders, "I Like being known for my cheeriness! After all, we're gonna need it now."

She stepped back, ignoring the hole Cain's gaze was burning into the back of her head, then smiled brightly at them all. "Well... We off?"

Kari-Bliss yawned and followed lazily, stumbling, "Well I'm so sorry I can't always be Miss Peppy happy... But I guess I should cheer up before Bran gets here," She yawned again.

Cain chuckled and followed, scowling at his name

"Did Cain wake you up???" She mimicked in an annoying, high-pitched voice, rubbing her eyes. "No, the sun woke me up with a big fat kiss. WHO DO YOU THINK WOKE ME UP?"

Cain shrugged, "She hates mornings."

Cain slowly nudged her again, "We should get outside for the others."

Kari-Bliss slowly stood up, mumbling curses at him, and dragged herself outside, nearly running into Faroak. She scowled darkly, "WATCH IT! People are walking here!" She grunted and slid down against the wall, eyes half-closed.

Cain nudged her lightly with his foot, and his twin instantly turned and slappped him. "gah!" he stumbled back, frowning, "PMS KB, what's with you?"

"YOU WOKE ME UP AT THE BREAK OF DAWN FOR NO REASON!" She put her head back down, grumbling.

(She is NOT a morning person.)

Kari-Bliss smiled again and then stood up, "I gotta go pack, I guess I'll meet all of you tommorow," Then headed off to her room.

The Next Morning
Kari-Bliss yawned, laying over her desk with her bag across her lap. ONly her brother would choose to wake them up at dawn to get them early; and she'd had trouble getting to sleep in the first place.

Kari-Bliss jumped at a door slamming near by, but continued to watch Bran, worried. Slowly, she sat down by him and put a hand on his leg.

"Well, I'm here if you ever do need anything."

She remembered the day she met Bran, how her brother had instantly disliked him and she herself had secretley vowed to take care of him and become his friend. It was one of the reasons the other girls in Riverridge disliked her; instead of gushing over boys, she was always on the sidelines, watching out for Bran, or defending him. Even though she didn't really get why; she'd stick up for him.

And it was slowly driving a wedge between her and her twin.

"Even if it's just to talk," She smiled again, forgetting her brother for a second.

"He actually does treat me better, when we're alone," Kari-Bliss looked down, "But in public, he makes it appear he doesn't care so no one can use me against him."

She sighed, softly. "It's alright though. He's the only person who cares about me; I can put up with it."

Kari-Bliss continued following him, looking away and thinking.

"Why do you think my brother doesn't like you?" She asked off-handedly, still absorbed in herself, "It's not like you ever did anything to him. The only thing I can think of is me, but it's not like you like me like that. And I don't think you've ever done anything bad to him..."

"It doesn't bother me, your coughing," Kari-Bliss just smiled again and looked at him, her curls falling into her eyes.

"And I want to walk with you. Believe it or not, you're one of my favorite people here." She blushed a bit and scratched the back of her head, stammering, "B-but I don't mean anything by that!"

Kari-Bliss blinked a few times, then smiled warmly. "Of course, I'd love to walk with you..." She dropped her arm and looked back at Faroak.

"I guess we'll see you tommorow, yeah?" She shrugged, then headed for the door.

Subject: Our favorite custom races!

So, we have all made a custom class at one time or another, yes? Then why not share it with the rest of the inn! I'm sure everyone can benefit from knowing what comes out of the dark recesses of their fellow innmates minds

My personal favorite custom class is problably a Bappi <3

Bappis: A humanoid, Bappis are set apart because of their animalistic and angelic qualities. Bappis have long wings that are directly connected to their spine between their shoulders blades, and are roughly seven feet from tip to tip when spread out. They can only use these wings to hover and glide, not fly; when not in use, the wings hang to the ankles. In addition, Bappis have claws instead of nails, and cannines a bit longer than humans do. Other than that, they have a humanoid appearance, and no other special skills.) The wings are pretty compact and light, usually pressed up close to the body. It's like wearing a flowy cape, basically, talking space-wise. If their wingsare injured, it would hurt as much as getting hit in the leg or so, but they would heal nicely unless they were completley ripped to shreds, in which case a Bappi would have to sever as much of their wings as possible. If you can treat the wings like you would someone's arm, you get a better idea. The claws and fangs are also pretty versatile, and very rarely get in the way of anything they do.

1. Draw inspiration from real life!
Alot of the best characters ever created come from aspects of the gamer's life. Why not combine your best friend's quirkeness with your mother's good will and your father's sharp wit? Drawing details from people close to you gives you personal ties to the character, and makes gaming with them alot more fun. Got a favorite movie character? Honor their name and use it for your creation! What you like is always a great place to start when looking to build a character.

2. Don't rush it; the best things take time!
You want a real one-of-a-kind character? Don't take 5 seconds to come up with a concept! Your GM/DM, your fellow gamers, your innmates, and even yourself will thank you for taking time to plot out a believable, complex character! If you can't even take the time to care how your character turns out, then,I'm sorry, but gaming is not for you.

3. Overthinking=Bad!
I know, I know, I just told you not to rush through and leave out details, but don't make a WTFCC (Way too frickin' complicated character)! We don't need to know the exact details behind your character's every scar, or the entire story of why they're afraid of frogs. It's alright to shorten a few things, as long as your concept is still clear. Don't be afraid to skim over things!

4. Get down and study-udy-udy!
Want a really golden piece of advice? Read a gaming thread, or scan a friend's character sheet! By studying how others work, you can get a basic idea of what a DM/GM looks for in a character. You may also want to study that particular DM/GM's games, and figure out which of the players was favored in those. Use their uniqueness to make your own character; but don't plagurize!

5. Make a character that makes you happy!
Make a character that stems from what you like. If you're positive you won't have a good time gaming with a certain concept, then don't! Gaming is supposed to be something fun, and if you hate who you're playing, how can it be?

6. Embrace the craziness!
One of the most enjoyable character types to play is the character who seems so ridiculously out-there, you just have to believe them! Doing this can take a long time to master, but don't be afraid to try it. You'll be a better gamer for it!

7. So you like those? Please as one of these!
You hear it all the time: 'I'm a big, tough guy; this means I must play as a male human warrior!' 'I'm a sweet, yet complicated chicka; this means I must play as a female elven mage!' Reality check: no it doesn't! Try playing as a character you think you have no possible idea of pulling off, or a character concept you wouldn't normally think twice about. Breaking the mold really opens your eyes and let's you experience gaming on the next level!

8. If all else fails, ask for help!
If you are completley stumped, out of ideas, unable to type another word... Then stop. Pick up a phone, open a compose message box, turn on your webcam; and ask for help! Your friends, family, co-workers, that hobo you give coffee to are all full of ideas. Asking them will help you out, because it gives you creative input from another source. If you don't like their ideas? No biggie; at least it got your own flowing again.
