Okay so I only have two people into this right now (which is cool if that's all that want in) but I would like if possible to get one or two more.

Making characters for WOD is hard to explain. XD

Oh man.... this is really cool. f I can get my group back together and start playing regularly again this is most certainly something I would have to give a try. I've always thought ambiance can be the difference between a good game and a great one.

It's not the soldiers that have the problem with it. The group I am part of says we can't send anything dirty or anything like that because if one of the soldiers complained about it, the whole group could get into trouble. It's kind of one of those, covering their own butt sorts of things.

Just anything really. A funny story about something that happened to you or a friend, a joke you know, a list of weird facts... Just anything to get their minds off what they're facing.

Okay so I have been a member of a group called Soldiers' Angels for several years now and am always looking for funny or inspiring things to send to the troops that I write. My dearest innmates are some of the funniest people I know (take that how you will) so I would like to ask for you assistance in amusing the soldiers. Nothing adult rated please, as I am not allowed to send anything above a pg-13.

Thank you guys so much for your help.

Also any ideas for themes for the packages would help too. I think I'll do pirates next month.

You barely scraped by on your check. The brew's frothy and sloshy and has all the delicious alcoholic bits that warms yer belly... however there's an odd taste in it we just can't quite place.... is it Grugg hair.... Eol slobber? We may never know.

Check to see if I can obtain all the items on my shopping list and not buy any impulse items.

If everyone in this thread is still interested in this I think I have enough folks to get a game started.

The basic information I need from you to get started are Character concepts. If you need help getting your paws on the stuff to make up characters just shoot me a PM and I'll email you what you need.

Subject: They always find a way

Not really a blunder so much as just a ill planned decision combined with a bad roll that should have been kept a secret.

I had my players in a dungeon that had a trap that made the ceiling fall as they tried to exit the room. The ENTIRE group rolled above 17 so of course they all got away, except the NPC that I had serving as the group's healer until one of the other players could get his work schedule fixed.... I could have fudged the roll but one of my players saw the die and started laughing. >.<

He stopped laughing when they ran into the next monster and several took heavy damage.

Subject: Of course I'll have you

I am an equal opportunity GM and believe that you're welcome until proven otherwise.

World of Darkness is a modern setting horror storytelling game. Instead of being based more on rolling the dice and mucking through all your stats it is focused more on the story and character development. In the branch we'll be using, which is called Geist: The Sin-Eaters, you play a person that has died and has been brought back from the brink of the underworld as a symbiotic creature. You share your body with the soul of a being called a Geist, which is in essence a ghost that has become the epitome of something (such as fire, fear or drowning people. It's an essentially endless list of things your Geist could be.) In return you gain many supernatural powers.

That's just a REALLY brief overview to see if you're interested. I'll put the address (because I can't remember what code we use on here at the moment) of the Wiki page at the bottom of this post andif you want more info after that I'll PM or email it to you. ^_^

It's more like a rules free or rules lax game than D&D, but it's easy to adapt to and I'm a lenient person. I'll gladly help in any way possible.

Subject: So much fun it hurts...a lot...

Ammpe had to resist snickering when her cohorts were so roughly bounced from the hoverbot. Luckily however, the most Beloved Computer in all its grand wisdom had the foresight to make staying aboard the transport just difficult enough to make that the only thing they really had much time to think about. Obviously Blowz and Brighte had been thinking about their devious communist sabotage schemes instead of concentrating on holding on. Also clearly Blowz was the more sinister of the two. The Computer was so efficient and perfect, look at the way it dealt with its enemies. She nearly swooned but luckily remembered that letting go even a little bit was deadly.

When they arrived at the mass of lines and paperwork Ammpe's good mood came to a screeching halt. She really had to work to make sure her smile didn't fade. After all, the Computer didn't like it when the clones aren't happy. She did glance around at the other clones wondering if maybe this was a secret punishment center for communists. After all, there wasn't a hint of efficiency or perfection about this place. She edged away from her teammates while still staying in line. Surely this was going to be the moment that the Computer got rid of her burden of a team.

Because you channeled your inner me (yes everyone has one) I'm afraid the second your brain saw numbers it ran for the hills and the only answer you seemed to be able to come up with was a grilled cheese and dire rat sandwhich. I certainly hope your grade and your stomach can take it.

I roll to see if I can convince my betrothed to wash the dishes for me.

Subject: World of Darkness game anyone?

Okay so while I can't get online every day, I do have a lot of time that I'm playing video games or just twiddlin my toes. I've also had some pretty interesting ideas stewing around while I was unable to get on. At the moment I'm on a (new) World of Darkness kick, especially the Geist and Werewolf books. I am most just scoping out if anyone was interested in this. I'd like a fairly small group, probably four people, for a story heavy game. It'll be the usual one post a week with me probably posting updates on either Wednesday or Thursday nights depending on my work schedule. If no one's interested in this I'll just put together a good old D&D campaign and run that. XD

Anywho, let me know. If you need more info about anything feel free to ask and don't get too discouraged if I don't respond for a couple days. Looks like either Saturday or Sunday will be my next day online. <3

Thanks, even a touch of encouragement can go a long way these days.

If I budget some, I can totally pull off two days a week, especially if the gas prices around here will stay low for a while longer.

Also my brother in law already bagged two big deer, so our grocery bill just plummeted. <3

Assuming I don't lose my job any time soon, I should be on at least once a week until the middle of March. I may look into joining a game or starting a new one up. I've been kicking a World of Darkness idea around for a while, probably Geist if anyone's interested.
