And the timing is impeccable...

Looks like the work PC is back in the game (home should be resolved this evening, I hope). Posting tonight or tomorrow at the latest.

Ok Everyone

Good posting this week and DA says once she is caught up this week she too will post.
So that leaves only Derynilord and I will touch base with him this week. As for Conall I may have a new player for him but not 100% sure I want to replace Kyle or just kill the Pali off.
Ahhh choices ......

Question to all

Ok I am really undecided about what to do with Conall so I thought I would bring it up to you the players and make it a group choice. Here are some of the choices at least from me.

1) Get a new player to play him.
2) Kill him off.
3) Kill him off and allow a new player to enter with his own
character.
4) Kill him off and keep the party as is at 8 players.
5) NPC him for the remainder of the game.

The last choice is really a compromise on my part but is still an option.
So let me know your feelings here Ladies and Gentlemen of Trilogy and we can then move on with the fun.

You the boss is, Tann...

For my part though... the way I understand the group dynamics is that Cor is Conall's "mentor" correct? If so, I imagine that if the Paladin get's geeked, it's just likley to get Cor a little on the grumpy side, yes?

>.<

I personally like our group as it is, and to lose him and go down to a group of eight seems to small for the way the adventure is going. So I say either find someone else to play him or keep him as an NPC. I think adding another new player would just continue to confuse me further. With all the people coming and going and my recent absence I was completely lost when I came back. So thats just a thought from me. Take it or leave it..

Conall update

Well I have invited a player to take him over so I just need to hear from him.
If he says no I will put a call out for a new player on the Recruitment Thread and hold Auditions to get the best writer. Yet if that still does not work its a good bet I will kill him off.
Lets see how it goes the next few weeks.

Blind fighting

Does having the skill of blind fighting assist in the current situation? BF relies on hearing, smell and sense of touch so I am not sure if working with spirits would negate that skill.

Honestly, as a DM, I would rule it as not helping, but I figure I should ask first.

Grrrrrr! Issues...

Sorry to have missed posting, Tann. We've been "snowed in" for the past two days and, with work closed, I had no access to the Inn from work... To make matters worse, i discovered that Windows pulled a bad update on the PC at home and it took me forever to get that all straightened out (still not sure eveerything is "as it was", but the damned thing started up and I was able to at least hit the internet this morning)...*sigh*

Now I've gotta play "catch up" at the job and then, as soon as Eol-ly possible, I'll get posts in (for all my games... ...I hope...please?)

I understand

Yeah snow has been a problem out Eastward way as Derynilord who lives in MD got 6 inches of Ice and Snow.
And some of my old friends still living in MD wonder why I do not miss it at times being here in Texas.

But I am glad you told me what was up as I repeat this to everyone for the hundreth time thats all I ask for if you can't post is to let me know why.

Now to answer Alacrity's question on BLIND FIGHTING

Smell: 2 reasons it does not work
1st: The the souls have no smell
2nd: Due to the dust clogging your noses and trust me there is no way to avoid that as none of you are wearing masks over said appendage at the moment, you have no smell at all.

Hearing: 2 reasons it does not work.
1st: The wind whipping the dust around is amplifying the cry of the Souls making it hard to get a good sense of where they are. Plus the wind whiping the dust around is also causing a moving pattern of sound so it seems its everywhere.
2nd: Like your noses your ears are getting filled even though some of you are wear helms as dust is getting into EVERY opening you have.

Sense of Touch: 1 reason it does not work.
Without being able to hear or smell your enemy ya can't touch him I know Blind Fighting is a skill when ya can't see your opponent but with the loss of Smell and Hearing there is no way to locate or hear movement.

Sorry all but but no one said Trilogy was gonna be easy Muhahahahahahaha

A post by the end of the night...

...assuming that my re-image and restore go as planned on the home PC (and they will because I'm just that good!).

Heck, if I'm really lucky, Cor may have something to say before I leave work today, ya never know. Quick question in that regard, O' Torturous DM: how about an attempt to speak with the dead? Should Cor even bother?

yeah, yeah... I know... "Try it and see... good luck speaking with all that dust in your mouth, though."

nahh

We need to use the Bigby's B*tch Slapping Hand of Death to whip all these things out, and create a breeze.

It is a spell... Like Bigby's Extended Finger of Profanity

Ok Answers

Ok first off the Tormanted Souls are not Ghosts, as Ghosts fall under the undead catagory.

As for speaking with them I will tell you now that would be a waste of time as they are neither dead or undead.

People its really easy to defeat these guys ya just have to pick up on my clues in the last two posts. Hell they don't even have hit points over 12.

Good Luck may the force be with ya's
