I see no problem discussing actions here in Q&A… no different than players sitting around a table discussing what they are going to do… as long as we don’t use information not available to our characters then it isn’t metagaming…

I too was confused by those lines… had to read them a couple times and have to admit I too am still a bit confused… but my brain gets muddled at times so I don’t worry about that… if I cant figure it out I doubt my character could … ... but never fear I am sure Tann will make sure we will find out later...

As for a course of action… while reading I point out the following….

As he hurried back towards the party, moving quickly, but more aware, Niamedris began to notice even smaller cracks in the walls of tunnel to both sides all of them ragged and rough. The small holes dotted the sides from ground level to ceiling in such randomness …..

This to me sounds like a possibility… it speaks of openings in the sides of the tunnel… and to a larger opening leading under the triangles base…

This seems like the way to go… we need to question Niamedris … well Haila does… to determine how far this was ahead… it mentions that the cat was on it’s way back when it noticed this so it might not be that far… perhaps the whole shape change thing might get us in that way… it seems to be the only possibility that I see at the moment…

That is my opinion… not Kenji’s as the whole shape change thing is not something he is going to be comfortable with though he will probably give in as he has with many magical things he has not liked before…

Alright so I had an idea...

Alasdair - has three (possible) things that can help us if we decide to continue moving forward.
1) Circle of power: If in possession of holy sword will project a 10 foot diameter sphere which repels hostile magic.
2) Protection From Evil: Radiates an aura in 10 feet diameter.
3) Know Direction - not sure if this will help or not, with my luck that just means knowing which way is north lol but it's worth a try.

Cor - he constantly has 1' worth of protection from his aura of protection. He can also use one round to determine more information about the room we are in. About the tunnels and such, so I think he should use that feature.

Maggot - should in the meantime search for concealed entrances of some sort, as that would improve the likelihood of finding one if one exists.

Sirene - I think detect evil should be cast.

Ulthok - should cast detect magic

I also think we should take this opportunity (since we are quite safe for the moment) to rest so the spellcasters can memorize new spells, and such.

I think perhaps those with the spell sanctuary should cast them if we decide to proceed ahead as I expect we shall do.

If Conall leaves... can I keep his sword?

Does *stands and watches everyone else who can actually do something figure it out* count as a post?

Ok I just want to reiterate that where you are presently at is too narrow to change your order of march. Like Alasdair in the rear can’t change places with Kenji up front. No room to pass the other party members. Rsting also will be tough as there is not enough room to sit kneel or lay down. The best you can do is what I stated in my last post. Back braced on the rear wall, knees braced on the front wall. Not easy to sleep. Now if you had a Nap spell that would allow the spell casters to sleep and shorten sleep time from 8 hours to only 4. Also does anyone know where to find the Nap spell as its not in my copy of the PHB.

And the part "and anything alive was no long, what it was meant to be" does that mean we will turn into something other than what we are...like say the halfling goes in, will they become an animal or change into another race? I'm so stumped on this section of the post that I have no idea what it means. I understand that the underground of the triangle is evil...but we already knew that...so now I'm confused on where to go with my post. I could just post something like *relays all the information she received from her familiar to her party* but that's not my style. I want a real post, and to be able to make suggestions and such...

Ok if the plan is for you guys to try and rest my post will be quite short however if that is what you do, do then I need a marching order as your lined up side by side in single file. I know Kenji is lead man, with Ulthok right behind him and Alasdair is last man, but how are the rest of you lined up.

Discussions here between players as just fine as per table top. However in order for us to have our characters act on stuff from here there does need to be some form of character discussion. If that is a simple ""X tells the others what they have found out; that is fine and opens up the info for use.

As for what we do here; I go with shrink and try our luck. I will go with cockroach; we all know they can go anywhere and nothing kills them. :-)

The evil sword is what we are after and if it has been here like forever then the magic that is the evil of the sword has permeated everything in here...

You do realize you can polymorph 'yourselfs' into tiny versions of 'yourselves' too right.
I will also allow the shapechange ability of the Druids to work as such as all the normal races Human, Elf, Dwarf Etc... are considered mammals so the two ladies could change into smaller versions of themselves also.

Also remember if your smaller versions of yourselves you still have your weapons. As any creature other then yourselves you have whatever weapons that creature has. Do you really want to be a cock roach Keeper not much to defend yourself with.

We all know the only thing that kills cockroaches is atomic weapons.

Well if we all reduce size and follow the cat then we need to know how small.

If we all reduce then march order isn't a critical because we will fit the tunnel easier, but then Tann will have more difficulty setting up a trap.

The story implied that where we will enter under the temple is filled with undead and creatures transformed by evil into who knows what. So we should have as much protection spells as we can muster.

I have posted again in the hopes of bringing up IC some of the things we have mentioned here... we need to start stating actions in the game thread if we dont want to sit around waiting another week ...

Seeing as the plan now seems to go small I looked over the character sheets and found out you are short two ways to get small so 9 out of 11 of you can become tiny.
Whatcha gonna do because as of right now I do not have enough to post tonight on what your doing next.

Until I get a firm decision on what your doing...Resting-Moving on smaller, I can’t post. Please let me know. Thanks.
