Yeah, movement through the green circle is half speed. I can't tell you how to play, but you would probably be better off fighting something close.

I realize now that a map update should have been part of my previous update. In the future, all my battle updates will be paired with a new map.

Yeah, the green square next to you is a person with a sword.

Entangle is one of those spells that effects all creatures within its range, not just all enemies. Every creature's movement is halved within the radius, even if they succeeded on a save to avoid becoming entangled.
