I realized I had taken augury for just such an occasion and forgot I had it. Silly player.

Keeper your asking two questions when you can only ask one per Augury spell as I read it. You need to edit your post to reflect which question your asking.

#1) Would it be safe to send Althena in alone to reclaim the sword?

#2)Would it be good to use high level magic in the offense against these creatures?

Tann has asked me to take over the playing of Kenji and after researching the character and presenting a potential post to him he has graciously given me the position. My post is now part of the game, I hope I can live up to your expectations.

I can still have Ulthok cast invisiblity and do an enlarge to make one of our fighters a giant. Anyone game?

I was busy running errands most of the weekend. I will be going through my information tonight and hopefully finding the answer to the riddle to help put these beasts in their place. Obviously blades wont work, so perhaps fire is the best choice of action to follow. I will post in the QnA again before I post my entry.

I didn't anticipate they'd all go nuts at the appearance of the Fire Elemental. Sorry!

Maybe, though, fire might be something that might hurt them? (As Flirt noticed above!)

That's the beauty of my game ya just never know .

A quick explanation of why the creatures attacked.........

To most creatures, fire is a threat, even to us in the real world, if allowed to run loose unchecked so to speak. Fire can help but it can also quickly destroy lives, to a non-intelligent creature like a roach or scorpion fire is a major threat so with the arrival of the fire Elemental into their world they reacted as if threatened and thus attacked.

So much for not casting offensive spells. This should be a quick fight.

Did the cloak of dispalcement somehow not work on the creatures? Just tryign to avoid the initial damage. :-)
