I was trying to find where I read that Ulthok had an Owl, it might have been in the first adventure. It may have been someone else. I'll still try to keep finding it but I'll abid where what ever he gets now.
Sorry Guys I have been really busy of late and have not had time to post this week . However, this week I will hopefully get some more time on my hands, so then I can produce this weeks post and a backpost for last week .
Ok Mr Keeper I hate to tell you but your post is incorrect. After the glow disappears so did the brazier and everything with it except for Ulthok. So there is no brazier for you to look at and comment about.
I was also wondering if Cor would really know what the correct spell component for a specific arcane spell is meant to be. He isn't a wizard after all.
Well I think that if Cor got to Ulthok quickly and was with Valene before she entered the glow then he would have seen the brazier. Also that old Dwarve has been around a while, he very well could have seen the spell of Find Familiar cast before even if he doesn't do that kind of magic. Cor was training Paladins so he's seen a lot and should know a lot. He also knows Ulthok from waaaaaaaaaaay back and knows his goof ups too. Since Ulthok looked unharmed he could feel he got his just desserts for not following the spell correctly and also there was that matter of the unfair drinking contest. .

Hmm...
Maybe, but in terms of game mechanics, Cor doesn't have 'Spellcraft' as a NWP (which is the one thing that might help him know what the correct spell components were).
Alright I'll edit. Having traveled with mages and since several members of the group have cast find familiar it is not really a stretch that a wrong component was identified.
