(So I just went to look at the details for Garrish and Warwick. Garrish is -exactly- one foot taller than Warwick and 100 lbs heavier. )

I updated the logbook, but forgot the colon for the time, so the entry appears to take place 8 minutes after midnight... and I can't delete it...

I made a second entry that has the correct time, but ignore the one at the top of the logbook... ^^;

Just a bump. I'm about to post the Blair/Avanti co-op, then move us to launch date.

One minor detour... I guess we do the dinner on the next day. If you have any posts left for today, wrap them up, else the game date bumps forward a little more than 24 hours.

I cannot help but think that if a certain phaser-stealing child were to be pointed in the direction of the security chief, he'd receive less bollocking and more sympathy than his mother might expect...*-)

On a slightly related note: Is it standard practice for Starfleet officers to keep phasers in the quarters, or is this a peculiarity of the lieutenant?

In Phantasms, season 7, Data is shown to keep a phaser in his desk, which Worf refers to as his "side-arm". Unlike Valen, his does not appear to be locked away, although I guess Spot isn't too likely to be able to get at it.

As I imagine Valen in Security, her having a phaser in her quarters might also be unsurprising.

Considering how often life-forms on the Enterprise tended to spontaneously mutate into something completely different at the drop of a phlebonitum hat, maybe Data shouldn't have been so lax around Spot...

Starfleet is a military organization. As such, I would expect that everyone would have access to a standard issue sidearm.

Unrelated: I'm figuring to gloss over this "get to know each other" dinner in the hopes of finally getting out of drydock. Any objections?

I wouldn't want to gloss it over completely but I'm all for keeping it short and sweet.

I'm kind of "dry" with Mac until we get underway, anyhow...

I was going to post for Toni La Rue still in Ten Forward, but if the Councilor is going to call me in on the same day I might have to change my post. So I will wait until informed of the Councilor's actions.

Personally, I'd go ahead and post being in ten forward. After all, the councellor can call you from anywhere, it doesn't have to be your quarters or your duty station or anything.

On a more general note, are we all waiting on the discussion between Nick and Venn?
