I am still being beat up at work. Haven't had any time to post lately. However, I'm about to hit the road which may provide me with more time.

I fly out to the East Coast on Tuesday. I'll be in Philadelphia Tuesday and Wednesday, in Charlotte (NC) on Thursday, and Charleston (SC) on Friday. From there, I'm potentially driving to New Orleans, then back up through Mississippi, Tennessee, Virginia, Maryland, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, New York, and into Connecticut where my son is being stationed with the Navy. Then, from there, I'll be driving back across the country to Utah. Somewhere in there I should be crashing at hotels, or with plenty of time while I'm switched off driving with one of my sons, to post.

Sounds as if you'll be chasing it all over the place, brother!

My itinerary has changed a little. But, it looks like I'll be meeting up with Olan for a meal and conversation, so that's fun!

Lady Dark, it looks as though Maggie wasn't able to convince the man of her lie. Sorry... the dice just don't seem to be favoring you at this time. Not to mention that beguiling people isn't exactly one of Maggie's strong points.

I told you about those dice and me! And I didn't want to kill this old dude, but now I kind of really do.

I reckon you could probably subdue/incapacitate the guy without killing him but, yeah, you do you, poppet!

Also, a note where the timeline is concerned concerned - there is just under two hours difference between Maggie and Fin's last posts (the conversation between Fin and Oken comes near an end at approx 12:20 and Mags is "encouraged" to wait for her master at 2:14). My thoughts, here, are that Fin could have likely left the Rub of DelMonte and wiled away an hour or two with the remains of that bottle and, perhaps, a whore before finally heading back to The Sun Dog... as he's en route, he could possibly spy Maggie and the shopkeep through the window. All of this, of course, is assuming that nothing else "major" happens for Fin in that time and that the GM is the least bit interested in Fin and Maggie meeting up prior to their returning to the ship.

Juuuuuuust kind of thinking out loud, really.

I don't know what voodoo you need to perform, but you're right. The die have not been favorable.  Nice post.
