The Cat.......

Sirene could also send her cat back out through the badger hole to find out what is happening with the party. It may even be able to add to the distraction of the Black Robe.

-------------------------------

If the distraction doesn't work and we must fight then maybe Rayne or some other could could cast entangle on the Orcs and Val cast Hold Person on the Black Robe. Arrows to eliminate the Orcs and and Kolbolds and just slash down the Black Robe.

Just an idea!

...

Yeah, it's a possibility. My inclination, though, is that Sirene (as a headstrong character) would figure something happened and just go with her part of the plan and start blowing stuff up.

This is why we never split up the party!

Go Boom.....

Well yeah, Sirene will have them all blown up before the rest of us can get there and join the fun!

Posts............

If Peri's action gets posted and the others post to this too we can see if we roll well or start a combat round. I'd think Cor would whisper something to the other to hold attacking until we see if the spells work. In the mean time advance slowly to the Black Robe looking submisive like a good little Kobold.

Yes Cor will whisper to everyone to behave like cowering kobolds. Sirene may go off on her own but then again we have never stuck to a plan before so why start now.

Go Peri..Go Peri.... Go Peri..........

Good post Viv,gave you an applaud for that. As the others finish their posts we'll see how it works. I liked Keeper's reference to Star Wars and the Jedi mind tricks.. I feel all Odywanish now, !!!!

If we succeed in avoiding the a fight or have to go with the Black Robe I may have Ulthok cast Darkness over the group so we are not seen so easily again.

...

Because Cor's plans have worked so well so far...

On a serious note, don't cast Darkness over the group. It'll affect everyone caught in the Darkness and not just those viewing you (ie. you'll all effectively be blinded).

Durp.....

Forgot that infravision was useless in the darness spell. Good reminder!

Hmm...

Mischief, I'm not sure if Warp Wood will work in disabling the 'ballistas' if, as Tann seemed to suggest, they're more like trebuchets.

The spell will only effect 165 inches of wood of up to 11 inches in diameter. I'm not sure if that would be enough.

arm

That should be enough to warp at least part of the arm making it non-funtional

Maybe

Possibly. I'm not sure how big the mechanics of mediaeval seige equipment were.

Tann, I hate to say this, but I don't think it's possible to save for half damage against a magic missile. So Sirene would have received the full whack.

Also, does the black robed figure look human?

Sigh...............

Geeez..........

Reminder for players from the "How to Servive Your DM" handbook.

1.) Never give the DM ideas.......
2.) Never correct a DM's mistake if it is to your advantage. ( Just tell yourself it is "Home Rules" and enjoy it.)

Spells............

I just found a cool site that list all the spells we use in 2nd edition and they can be copied and put into a Word Doc for easy reference. I have actually copied all of the spells we gained last adventure and now have a very large Spell Book I can check faster than the Wizards Compendiums.

There are Priest Spells too.

http://www.alchar.org/~aedil/Campaign/PriestSpells/

http://www.alchar.org/~aedil/Campaign/WizardSpells/

I had a lot of spells from when we combined book that I had not found the discriptions so I didn't pick them for this adventure.

I hope this helps.

Good find

Pretty useful Ody. It's easier to search than the tattered old hardback at any rate!

And, yeah, what can I say? I'm too saintly for D&D ... either that or I didn't want to get penalized next time Sirene used a magic missile!

invisible

Is Sirene still invisible? The magic missiles that hit might not have cancelled the spell so some fancy movement ought to confuse the black robe.
