The short answer is yes ...

In the interest of keeping interest, I'll put the first post up Monday. We'll write Jozan's character in as soon as he finishes the sheet

Gear up your minds, people!

Player F. Y. I.

Hokay. Wierd, but random determination (as random as I could make it) gives us this:

Target Number:   Avg(5d20, 12 rolls)  =  53       (Bell average = 50 ±18 )

Rand d100 x7: Calculated
Character(s): (Linear average = 50 ±15) Integer Avg:
gboy (½E-Bbn) 86, 93, 52, 73, 29, 52, 05 56
Zodius (H-Rgr) 73, 88, 60, 91, 91, 15, 04 54*
Admiral (E-Clr) 41, 13, 64, 80, 76, 65, 60 57
Bezmir (D-Ftr) 66, 27, 04, 45, 04, 53, 71 39
Keeper of Dragons (½E-Dbl) 100, 63, 45, 63, 85, 05, 28 56
Dragonblood (G-Sor) 22, 34, 39, 84, 54, 79, 30 49
Jozan1 (½O-Rog) 22, 22, 11, 38, 16, 43, 50 45

Other necessary info will be in the Game Intro Post ...

So hang on...

Does the * indicate who the real heir is? Or is that just a shiny addition?

You got it, gboy.

Wierd that the closest to the target number was the only pure human in the group ..

Well, wierd to me, anyway. The odds were stacked against it 6:1 ...

Hmmm

Only human is the heir, hmm. Could this part of the world be human centric?

You know the more rolls you use and the more you rely on averages the less random the effect is right? Averages are designed specifially to remove the random points and produce a more, well "average" result. Your chart even shows that the "average" for the players was 50(plus or minus 15) that makes a narrow range (I think all of us were in the range) and it is even narrower for the target roll. For max randomness it would be one roll for each player and one roll for the target number. No complants, just FYI.

Can't wait for the first post.

Actually,

I used averages counting on tht very thing. I wanted to "load" the possible outcome to fall within a specific range of numbers (the plus-minus range) to increase the chance of someone, or more than one, to match or come close to the "target number" ...

And while D&D was originally designed to be a humanocentric game, the only pure human in the group had a 1 in 7 chance of being the heir. Maybe te dice gods are still humanocentric ...

Well Wyrmstring...

I tried to post... but you need to indicate the players of the game if you want more posts to come!

I was unable to post, I am guessing Admiral was simply because he is a moderator.

I want to post... but make sure that I can!

hmm

Yea it looks like it's set to private, but no players are listed. I guess I'm special. Let me see if I can fix it.

Edit: I fixed it. Everyone should be able to post now.

Wyrmsting PM me if you need to know how to edit it.
