It's a Magic: The Gathering event. New sets of cards come out several times a year. There are typically 3 sets in a "Block," and each block is themed. Journey Into Nyx is the 3rd and last set of the "Theros" block. It's Greek themed so we're playing with a bunch of Cyclopses and Naiads and vengeful gods, etc.

The prerelease events happen a week before the set is commercially available, and what happens is a bunch of nerds get together and open packs of cards (also swag) and build decks with those cards, then fight the decks against one another in a casual but organized tournament.

That makes better sense. My 8 year old nephew is learning to play and he was giving me such looks. "Uncle Steve , it''s easy!!"

Siréne does not tell the party anything until after she comes out of the mental attack. With the orcs and madman present she will not reveal anything. While in the room she makes a cryptic reference to the ESP knowledge and more detailed telling outside. Whatever she has told the party is written in my post.

And just to specify, Siréne is talking about the Orcs when she says kill them. Noticed that was left a little open to interpretation. Fixed it in the post.

Just saw your post about the other doorway, totally slipped my mind.
Tann, did Siréne get anything on which doorway Valene and the Dragon Queen left through? That will be the exit that she uses.

They left out of the door on the West wall. The party came in through the East door.

I can remember when Magic was just starting. We were given free boxes at Origins in Baltimore City even before they were released to the gen population just for test playing it, god I don't remember the year.

During the next 5-6 years I ended up with complete editions of Alpha, Beta, Arabian Nights, Antiquities, Ice Age, Legends (The multi-colored Legendary Dragons were cool) and almost all the sets. I stopped collecting and playing after I think the Exodus edition.

I still have a few decks, a Black/White deck I call 'Heaven & Hell' as it uses Vampires & Angels.

An all Blue deck I call 'Looter' as it does nothing but use Clones, Steal Magic, and prevent magic cards.

And of course a Green/Red deck of nothing but Goblins and Thiads I think the creature types are called. Never came up with a name for it though .

If I had to pick a favorite set I'd have to say either Ice Age or Visions. Good luck with your games.

So you just jogged my memory. Did we ever allocate the items from when Amara died?
I wanted the druid staff and boots of elvenkind for Siréne. Did anyone else make any claims there? I feel we kind of washed past that a little. Old news I know...

Either way, good call on loaning those items to the dwarf if he comes with us.

The "Staff of Curing (14 Charges Remaining)" isstill in the bag if that was Amara's. That would make the boots hers too.

I was thinking Amara's things went Aliya.

Sirene could trade boots, take the Boots of Elvinkind and give the Dwarv her current boots.

are they? i thought the were in a bag of holding.
