So, if reading correctly...

Alpha tends to be when the main officers are most active or do they have slightly more extended shifts? Or is that something that's kind of moderated by the individual, so long as they are minimally active as required? Just trying to see if I'm reading this right

yep

You have the gist of it. Alpha shift, weekdays, is when your senior staff would usually be at their primary spot (bridge, sickbay, etc). Of course, being a department head means that you probably do work long hours.

With that being said, there are many times when this may not apply; MacTavish might have a junior officer on the bridge while he works in his office, performs inspections, etc. If we're simply puttering along between star systems, Captain Blair may well be in his ready room as opposed to sitting in the big chair. And so on.

First Post Up

Got Lt. Graham's first post up. Looking forward to this game! And now I have a 101-degree fever and no idea why. Going to be flumpy and lazy now.

excellent

Excellent first round of posts so far. This is exactly what I was hoping for. Seeing the events through various eyes, getting the "people" feel of things... perfect.

I of course don't want to rush things; though I'd like to post again, I will give everyone a good chance to mke their own posts, first.

Whew

Got the post in

Was tempted to suggest an additional course of action but figured that could come a bit later.

Sorry Ody...

Didn't mean to rob you of the situation. It just seemed like a good way to escalate the situation, what with the Chief Pilot being rendered unconscious.

You could always hurt yourself in another manner, if you really really want, but you are the Chief of Security. I reckon you'd be preparing for potential bording repulsion if the situation arises. Genral battle stations kind of idea.

EDIT: I mean I still have plenty going on; even though I'm currently running it through four perspectives.

nope

It's a timestamp error. Alacrity's post clearly leads into the hits on the Discovery. I'm betting he did a cipy/paste on the date part just to get the header format, then overlooked editing the time.
