Sorry but that was total crap. After several years of playing to have the DM end it with a party kill is a cop-out. Especially when the party did exactly what the DM as an NPC sent them to do. If the DM was tired of playing her could have said as much and ended the game in an honorable manner.

Ok Trilogy is not over, do you really think I'd end it that way

However I do have a lil game thought. If you can guess what comes next I'll give you 5,000 extra XP then that which you'll get by weeks end.

My only guess is that Allanan never died and we are united with him in some fashion since he destroyed his amulet, no one saw him die and he disappeared from the realm.

Well, I'm not familiar enough with the back story to really make a guess.

However, three things seem notable.

1. A time line was given for future events. This means that either some sort of alternate reality/change the past thing has to happen, or that time line was a dream/vision/prediction. This assumes that part 4 is an attempt to "prevent" what Tann's last post showed.
2. The crash of the castle caused much of the trouble - although the castle was also the problem to begin with. Any attempt to "fix events" would require an adjustment to the castle's trajectory.
3. Or, if the events posted can't be changed, then part 4 becomes a quest to reclaim Trilogy. In that case it is simply a question of "where did we go?" and "how do we get back?"

Weren't we told at some point not to worry about where the castle landed? I know someone responded that way when I asked that question, so I'm assuming the group got that information from somewhere. Either that information was incorrect, or the castle didn't really do what the post says it did.

Whatever. Where does Lothor wake up?

My best guess is that the anti-magic explosion triggered some sort of teleportation power, from an overload of magic, and teleported us elsewhere. Since the world is ruled by the dark king, maybe we are rebels too them (yes, I have just watched Star Wars recently)

we all die but are reincarnated into alternate characters but with flashes of our past selves as we are once again fated to join up an battle evil.....

Well, that's a rather inconvenient turn of events for our fair heroes! I'm rooting for a vision of the future that we have to prevent from coming to pass (unlikely as it may be).

I don't think the party has died, everything just went black. Considering the extra-planar hopping that a few of our dear departed have done, I'm thinking we were spirited away somewhere - maybe for a reunion with Allanan as Keeper says. Likely there was something to do with being in the proximity of the "magical reaction" that removed us all from the fray (and harm). Likely we have to undo what has been done (still gunning for a vision of the future).

More pleasant possibilities might be having been whisked away to faerie to drink fey wine for a thousand years or so. They deserve a vacation.

My new post is up and though 1-2 of you came close no one got it right. I'll have everything updated by the weekend as far as Character xp and such.
