I think they look great where they are. Clear, concise and definitely above the fold.

BTW- we are on three of the four front pages now.

Hmm

I probably wouldn't mind it as much if we had a lot more buttons, as it's just the 4 now it seems a little over the top for so few things.

Why not combine the two?

As a compromise, how about in the forum pages where there is a T-shirt ad to replace, put the Partners links there, and for the pages that don't have a T-shirt ad, leave them where they are?

fake ones

We could make up fakes ones to fill the spots. Grugg's Gruesome Garage. Crazy Alacrity's, Olan's Omnibus.

Only real problems with current location

My only real problem is accidental clicks because they are right behind the links from the IA Menu. Not that I never want to click them, but I don't want to accidentally tap my trackpad twice and and get new tabs opening all over the place.

Not that that should be the ultimate reason for changing anything, but it is some of the motivation behind my suggestions.

I dunno, to me the links just seem really... out of place there. Like the symmetry or something got thrown off. Might also be because they are centered and the IA Menu is Left Aligned. Changing them both to the same might solve the problem in my head.

idea

How about something along these lines? It might need some tweaking if short titles get long, but just throwing it out there.

symetry

So far, the only thing we have on the front page with a resemblance of symetry are the buttons and the partner banners. Everything else is all over the place. Shoving them into the corner makes the page more uneven.

symmertry

I think its the symmetry that is throwing me off lol. I'm also using a widescreen format, so I have a lot of dark grey space to the right of the menu and partner labels. It probably doesn't look nearly as bad on a computer with a narrower display.

well

For some reason, firefox does not center the menu like other browsers do. Which is why it looks a bit odd to you as centered.

Ah its FF then and I'm not 100% crazy. Only 99%.

I'll get used to them wherever they are.

Yea its FF

I just looked at the site on IE and it looks fine. Firefox is just dumb with that menu not being centered.

So uyh

We now link to a DND 4e site?

Not only to I have private hate for the subject matter, but our link is waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay at the bottom.

I think we're getting robbed here.

nah

I don't like 4e. The webmaster of that site knows that.

But guess what? Dnd4.com has been sending good traffic to us for a while now. A button on every page of their site (even if at the bottom) can only help.

I figure, what's the difference if we have four partner buttons, or five? Or seven? If it's good for the Inn as a whole, why not?

I don't like 4e, you don't like 4e. That's cool. Some do.

And if they want a place to play it, why not play it here?

So I take it you're not implementing a no 4e ban? :P

Fair enough, traffic is good. I concede the point.

Now feed me damnit.
