Oh man. Awesome update, nothing like man-eating insects to kick off a game! I love it and am eager to find out where I sit in initiative.

Wherever I may be, I will try to get my post up as soon as possible. I have a veeeeery busy week coming up so I can't guarantee anything for the next few days but I promise I will try to be as prompt as possible.

A few questions:
How fast are they moving?
Are two guards still with us?
If so, how are we positioned?

And now I'm off to dance around in excitement that we have an update for this game. I'm very pleased with how its gone so far, we haven't been going that long but i've enjoyed the role-playing! I'm looking forward to seeing the game live a long and prosperous life.

1 ) the monsters are moving fast, faster than a running Khord.
2 ) the two guards are still with you, bravely at the back of the team.
3 ) well, that's basically up to you. I'd say Bohen is in the lead, for he was looking at tracks. But it can surely be all three of you in front.

Almerin, I mostly game with Alacrity, who admittedly has his own rules about magic, and I'm new to 3.5, as well, so I am unsure of how and when to share declarations within combat. I started combat with a missile attack, but my intent is to move to cast next round unless I am forced into melee.

I guess I didn't totally make Odin's actions clear. He will fire two crossbow bolts into the closest insect, as it will be too hard to focus all their missiles at one particular one, and if they felled it, it would be unfortunate to waste a crossbow bolt. That and swinging the cross bow back to hanging at his back will be his first round, if he can draw his rapier in that action as well then we're peachy. If not Foxtooth'll have to wait till next round.

Rules about magic: I'm not sure what you mean with this. You can shoot this round, and cast the next. That would not be a problem.

Dragonblood: Congratulations on 300! Always a milestone.
As a reply, I never waste ammo like that. If you state to shoot two bolts at one creature, and the first one kills it, I will automatically direct the next to another enemy. Such would be the case in tabletop dnd, so I don't see why it would be different here.

Loki: Good news.

I've been slow to reply the past days, but I've been feeling quite crappy. Sorry for the inconvenience. I should feel better as soon as these snot-bacteria start leaving my body.

The comment on magic was just to be sure. I have known some DM's to penalize you for changing your mode of combat, adding a segment to put away what you were using and ready what you'll be using next. When you consider how long casting takes, that's a real "unmotivator"

Only two posts...where is everyone?

We have three posts now, and after PMing Loki, I'm quite sure he'll quit this game. I'm looking for a new player already. For now, we'll continue with the four of us.

As far as an update goes? Yes please. I'm looking very much forward to it and I must say that the enjoyment of this game is mutual Al. I'm having a lot of fun playing the game and RPing with everyone. It is certainly a different character for me and I'm having a lot of fun playing around with him and gaming with all of you. Thank you Al for inviting me to join and enjoy this game, it is much appreciated!
