I personally don't think the money is much of a concern. If we can find anything out about the gnolls and/or Bruno's family Garrik would think the trip was worth it even if we didn't get paid anything. Plus having a guide to Leafhaven we didn't have to pay for is nice.

I think Patrick should find out from Talon more about the Priestess and her dealings and find out what kinda business that Tomlin's fahter runs. We don't even know what kinda cargo he deals in right now. Garrik would be opposed to doing anything that would have a chance to hurt his family name or cause others suffering.

We might be able to help him with his business by investing and possibly get another source of income.
we all have more gold than he does by the way he said business was bad. And find out if its just the gnolls that are causing his trade to suffer or is it something else entirely.

Can anyone think of anything else we should let the party representative (Patrick) ask Talon?

Guys, let me know if you want Patrick to step in and start working out the details with Talon on the trip there (and back if we get that far). I know Patrick is going to be (one of) the main diplomat for the group but I don't want to be stepping on anyone's toes by just steamrolling through parts of it without giving everyone enough time to post their side of things.

Everybody needs to work with their strengths. Strike if you feel that diplomacy is your character's strength go with it. That doesn't mean your fellow party mates can't add their two cents worth, in the process.

Go ahaed and post and we can always ask Talon questions on our own posts or have our characters ask Patrick to talk to Talon about something in particular in a post.

Do what you feel your character would do. just don't make a habit of breaking away from the group.

I know OOC that characters are not invincible... I just dont know how Bruno will act in every given situation...

By the way, I was thinking about the Crimson Chin on my way back from Calgary to my university, and I am wondering what Kind of alignment he is... I think he is Chaotic good. Though he is presently abiding by the martial laws of the city, if anyone provokes him (in particular I think his height, but there are other things that could piss him off) he blatantly disregards status and civil law... so maybe more towards neutral good? I dunnow and don't really know if its important, but maybe this can be illuminated before he meets the devil with a +5 Axiomatic Unholy great sword of death. xD

Ok, I posted on the game thread. That should get us moving towards heading out of town in the next day or so (in game time). Hopefully I left enough to be asked by others or time spacing within the post for people to interject when they feel they must.

well it looks all ok to me except for the bit about you paying money to the group. thats just kinda weird.

I'm sure the gnolls will have their own plans on interacting with us. (DMs are evil like that)

i left the gnoll business out of my post that way the Crimson Chin can have the conversation with Talon about that. Seeing as his character is the most affected and concerned with the gnolls i didn't want to take his conversation away from him.

Is there anything i need to work on in my posts or are they ok so far?

How are we going to have our guys set up while traveling? Is there going to be anyone scouting for the group? Should we all bunch up near the wagon or should we spread out just a little?

I was thinking of having Garrik stay close to the wagon to protect Talon in case we get attacked.

I would assume Bruno would either be rear guard or vanguard, but because he is on a pony, he would have to be a bit closer or it will take him longer to get back to the group if he is needed. If peeps think he would be better suited to staying near the wagon, I will have no complaints on it: all for one and one for all!
