My two cents
To be honest, I have a hard time coming up with posts for this one. It's a fun concept and a fun read, for sure, but getting into Ammpe's "headspace" has been tricky for me. I don't want to say I've been charity posting because, let's face it, I've pretty much sucked at coming up with anything other than a line or two for any given round. That's not to say I don't try or even want to, mind you, just that I get the first blurb or two scrawled out for what he might be thinking and then blink at it for hours without really knowing what to write/do next... I don't want to admit that that puts my in the "not my cup of tea" category but, having re-read what I've just typed here kind of makes it difficult to say otherwise.

Thanks for the response. You have been rock solid from day one.
Your approach is correct - Paranoia is more casual, and is intentionally more bizarre, more in your face silliness. Melodramatic roleplay is the way to go.
I'm afraid that I'll end up having to replace Bud, which is just too bad, as he did a nice job.
If we're just having a bit of a lull, that's fine. Wha I don't want is to have to guilt players every week to post. the point of a game is to have fun, so if it's more a chore than fun, we need to re assess.

okay
As I've told you via PM, Eol, I do think you are overthinking it. Paranoia is supposed to be campy, zany, silly. You're such an incredible player, and you write freakig novellas to games... I think you are looking for that here, and it's a square peg in a round hole.
How do you want to proceed?

I'm still in!
We've talked about it via PM more than once, as you said, and, you're right, I just need to back away from my "usual approach" and go all Looney Toons. Maybe I should drink more when I'm writing for this one?
Anyhoo... I'm not gonna ditch... Just gotta get my head out of the rabbit hole, pick up the silliness, and run with it.

My Craft
To get into character, I imagine Steam as an over-the-top, gruff, noir-style dood in the backdrop of Sin City. Add a bit more tough guy ego with hardly anything to back it up, bing bang boom, you've got my Steamboat!

haha
Good tips, Bree.
It's a balancing act, I think. To me, you can really get away with playing Paranoia people as "one note" and it work out great. Gettign too deep just leads to frustration when your clone gets killed by random GM whim.

there ya go
Solid post, Eol. That's all we need - response/reaction where appropriate, let me kow what your clone wants to do, where appropriate.

Been a busy day for me, again. Haven't managed the posts I would have liked... Gotta go make dinner shortly, too, but I'll try and get back to your regularly scheduled Eol ASAP.

No worries. As I read this again, I realize that I really haven't given you guys much to do except post something like "dude, long lines suck."
