Re: Free form

Half the time I'm just building what I'm doing in the science dept from reference pointers to things if they already exist, and filling in blanks with raw pseudoscience of the square root of -1 degree

I'm just fortunate that I can fill in those blanks pretty well since I kind of have an overactive visualization and simulation capacity.

Perfect for a techie or sciency or mad sciency or mad pseudomagicscience-y characters.

LOL

I really need to get new bifocals, my editing stinks.
Just fill in the blanks and do your own spellcheck.

We are having Trick or Treat on our street to today. We are in a small housing area outside of the city so we do it independent of them. 1:30 -4:00. I'm sitting in the cold garage watching the rain. Had our first group at 1:20.

So perfect weather 40 degrees F, rain and wind.

At least I'll try to catch up on post.

BTW, any Inn Mates that drop by will get a Frosty Mug of "Good Old Froth-n-Sloch".

Cheers!

I should have my post up within the next day hopefully.. I'm running on 2 hours of sleep and I just cannot get my brain to focus all that good - that's not saying I haven't started the post because I have!

huh

Nice post, Teller... but there was a reason I had posted that only the ops officer had noticed the bodies. The point being, well, that nobody else sees (has seen?) them.

Egads

Ok, I may have gained official Derp status.

I am now grasping that maybe Jesse is the only person who sees the bodies.

I may have been mistaken in asking for other folks' reactions. If so, my humblest apologies.

I am awaiting confirmation of my derpness from t_catt, and if this is the case I guess the other posts with reaction to the bodies may need to have it taken out. Again, I'm really sorry. Totally my fault.

Gotcha

I understand, but now I am getting the impression it might be a hallucination on Jesse's part. When t_catt said that no one else saw the bodies in his first post about it, I thought he was bringing it to our attention as kind of an unspoken suggestion that others should notice such things. But now I am thinking that I may have been wrong and that he really meant that no one else was seeing them; it seems to have been a directive, not a suggestion-hehe. Wouldn't be the first time I have been guilty of overthinking. Again, I am awaiting clarification. Not sure where our glorious leader is headed, and I love that. Hehe. Sensing some really good story ahead.

Who's That?

For now I had sent certain Officers to different decks but as I've checked background info on Tier and LaRue. I should have deployed them differently based on their posted skill sets.

So close your eyes and pretend you're reading it for the first time.

Tier should command the Special Ops teams and LaRue is over Master-at-Arms teams.

Tier may end up being my SEC.

Removed Post

Ok, since it was not intended for everyone to see the bodies, I have removed my post. No Worries Duncan.

Confirmation

Yup, Jesse is the only one that sees 'em. Nobody else does. Is confirmed.

There's gokk bonking aliens on this gokk bonking ship

Tier as a SEC. That's funny. I am only a casual poster in this game (really) so don't put Bob, Tier or Avanti into any situation where you need immediate interaction. That being said, if you need some quick "bob-isms" or interactions in your own posts, just PM me.

TAC/SEC on Discovery vs "standard" Starfleet

To address Ody's question regarding bridge officers, why Soileau would have sent the message to security, etc...

Typically the Chief Tactical Officer and Chief of Security aboard a Starfleet vessel are one in the same person, so, technically, if the TAC officer is on the bridge, so is the Security chief. Having said that, Mac's handling of Tactical/Security is a bit different. Mac has never had the reputation of being "warm and fuzzy" where security is concerned and due to more than one incident in his past he prefers to designate someone else in the TAC/SEC department to head up security operations. He still maintains oversight of security, of course, but day-to-day operations are given over to Lt Reid... Mac and his Tac officers address the functions of both TAC and SEC while on the bridge, freeing up the Security chief and/or his officers to operate out of Main Security without the need to have a presence on the bridge.

Completely up to you if John wants to work this way or not, Ody (there is always a spot on the bridge where we could station a Security Officer if John thinks it's necessary... and can get Mac to think the same way). Just figured I'd give you the above explanation as to why there was no mention of a SEC officer on bridge.
