heh

That's okay. I liked this comment on reddit.

So when does the funny start? Or is this guy just graphically blogging his D&D games? It's not for everyone, but we have enough regular readers already to suggest to me that SOMEONE finds it funny.

So yeah, try not to let the trolls get to you.

Ouch, though. 11 up votes, 10 down.

These are the jokes people

I think that people see webcomic and associate it with the standard 3/4 frame comic that used to be in the papers. Looking at some popular ones like LICD, PvP and Penny arcade, they follow that format. Intro, build, set, joke. Heck, Penny Arcade hasn't been funny for years and they still keep coming.

Olan is trying a different approach with more of a "serial" adventure. It will take longer for a following, but the fans will be more loyal. So, yes he is Glogging his D&D adventure, but why the heck not. If someone can blogg about making every recipe in a Julia Child cookbook - the sky is the limit.

I've pulled a move like this before. Most DMs probably have. Fifth times the charm.

If someone has real constructive criticism they can actually come to the inn and leave it. It'll be heard. Otherwise it's just a troll.

heh, I liked that movie though

I think the art is fine, and the comment Olan quoted shows how limited the posters view is: is this Guy? blogging....

But it's true, it's not always funny, just like it mostly isn't funny when you try to tell people the hilarious moments of your dnd games. Mostly, you-should've-been-there-moments.
But that's ok, it doesn't have to be funny.

A cheesy question to close this post: In which eye of the beholder is funny anyway?
